When my pool was installed I questioned bumps/wrinkles in liner and was told by Karl Turner that it was normal. This was untrue & eventually caused holes in the liner.

Before the holes appeared the liner began to pull away from the coping. When I asked about it, they told me that I could just tuck it back in place which worked for a while, but over the years it got worse & I could no longer put it back in.

When the light needed replaced, it could not be pulled onto the deck because the wiring was too short.

After about three years 10 to 15 holes were discovered and I had them repaired locally. Within 2 years there were many more holes. When I questioned my local pool company about why this was occurring I was told it was from the pool vacuum running over the bumps on the bottom.

At that point I could have gotten a new liner, but was told by two companies that the bottom was so rough that without fixing it, I would need another liner within a few years. When I contacted Karl I was again told that it had been installed properly. I told him I disagreed and wanted him to fix it. He said his work was not the problem.

Consultation with other companies both stated that I needed to replace the vermiculite bottom or continue to go through liners. At that time I could not afford to do both and didn't want to throw good money after bad.

Now, after moving forward with repairs, I learned that the bottom was overdug by 14 to 18 in. Rather than correcting it, Turner's just installed the liner anyway. It took 13 tons of gravel to fill in the overdig in the deep end just to get the manufacturer's liner to fit properly.

My contractor installed the vermiculite properly. It in no way looks like it did when Turner's did it. Each time I contacted them, they insisted it was installed properly.

Today I spoke with Karl Turner again and he denied my previous dissatisfaction with the pool installation. I requested he write me a check to pay for repairs, but he declined. Repair costs have exceeded $6000.
