I bought 2 shopping carts from Turnkey Web Tools, Inc. ( www.Turnkeywebtools.com for my internet business and I want to share my horror story today with everyone!

I had a few issues with installing my cart so I called these idiot's and they made up lies about how it was my hosting providers problems that caused these issues. Then they said if I pay them $149 extra I could have them fix them.

They use a CHEAP VOIP Phone system that dumps callers after waiting on hold for 45 minutes so it's "IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT THEM". Their online chat system is ran by the 2 owners that act like they are "Support People" with no knowledge of anything.

When I email them they reply with a 1 Liner.. "Sorry, can't help"

Bottom line.... They Lie to their customers, The email support is a joke, the Sunshops Cart has Bugs like you can't believe, and they can't be contacted by phone.

I asked for a refund by email and of course they never replied. Class Act!

I am now with ZenCart and so happy!

If we are going to complain we should at least tell all the facts in the story shouldn't we? You contact us and ask if we support authorize.net payment processor. We reply with a yes. In fact, we not only support it, we are CERTIFIED by them and we are listed in their "Certified Solutions Directory" located at http://www.authorizenet.com/alliances/carts_cert.php. Later you came back and stated that your processor, one that we DO NOT list anywhere on our site as a supported gateway, tells you that our software is setup incorrectly to work with authorize.net. Not only is this not the case, refer to the URL above to see that we are a certified solution provider. Now at this point we offer to make any modifications needed to the authorize.net payment module so that it works correctly with your processor. For a service that normally costs $150.00 and has a 14 business day turnaround, we offer to make the modifications needed for only $50.00. Fast forward to yesterday now, only 48 hours after you make the $50.00 payment on July 7th, you call up and talk to Jean, one of our support reps. From the start by taking a very unpleasant tone with her to the point where you start yelling and called her a name (phone recording available upon request). Keep in mind our support reps are NOT programmers and they do not have the skill to resolve programming issues right on the spot.

We have gone above and beyond to work with you on this issue. In fact, I believe Sam, one of the programmers is still working on getting it resolved so we are having a tough time even understanding why you are upset. I have also called you and left a message should you feel you still want to talk about this situation. You tell me what you want to do at this point. We understand that you are on a time crunch but none of this is a result of anything we did or did not do. We never claimed to support your payment gateway, nor do we have any obligation to modify our code to do so without some type of payment for services.

By the way, we are in fact a BBB accredited company, call them and request information to verify.

Same Situation as Webbuyerguy. They pointed fingers at other companies involved in the on-line transaction process. Turned out it was their issue and they wanted $$ to fix it. The issue involves renameing variables, changing formats, and pointers. This does not take more than 5 minutes. They hung up on myself and co-owner. Tried to resolve the dispute by contacting sales and asking for a supervisor. She dumped me to a vacant voicemail. Upon trying to call back was left on hold for ~5 minutes before being hung-up on without speaking to a person. This happened multiple times. They refuse to address issues over the phone indicating in email "phone calls aren't necessary". When they are! We could have resolved our week plus issue forthwith had they been willing to talk on the phone! Opening at 10 PST and forcing people to communicate via email on the east coast who are working with other east coast providers to resolve issues with their softwared obviously makes for a protracted process. Regardless of the situation it is never okay to hang-up on customer and then not provide an avenue for dispute resolution. This is clearly a small shop (Google Maps) where both the women from sales and support where refusing to take our phone calls. I whole heartedly agree with Webbuyerguy's Bottom Line. Funny how the person form the company just stumbled onto this complaint. I fear we are not the first to have issues with this company and bet we won't be the last.

At any rate, I wanted to take a few minutes to respond to the claims made by our "unknown" customer. It seems a bit odd that the complaint was filed with such anonymity and as such we cannot verify if this is even truly a customer of ours. What I can verify though is out business practices, and nothing stated in this complaint is even remotely true.

I guess we should start with the allegation that is "IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT" us. It's funny that they make this claim and then also state that the called us and reached us fine in their second paragraph. We are in the office Monday through Friday 10am to 6pm PST, excluding holidays, answering phones, support tickets and live help. We have a dedicated support staff as well as sales staff who are properly trained and our always complete and curious in their reply's to customers. I invite anyone to call in and connect with one of our staff should they have any concerns about our availability. We have a toll free number where you can reach us free of charge: 1-800-673-4898.

Now I am not sure what their basis is with regard to their statement "They Lie to their customers", but I can assure you that all of our policies and information are available on our site for review. This includes our money back guarantee, our privacy policy and our license agreement. All of this and more can be review on our website at http://www.turnkeywebtools.com/. Additionally, let me state that we do not ignore emailed requests for refunds although it is NOT the proper way to request one. We simply direct the requestor to the guarantee page where the steps are outlined. As stated in our money back guarantee, all customers have the right to 1 refund within the 14 day evaluation period. In order to receive that refund, you must follow the steps outlined.

All and all this complaint is very vague and offers no data to back up false claims and misinformation.
