I purchased a 2000 cavalier at Tysons Ford over the internet through ebay. I understood that when I purchased the vehicle it had high mileage and that it did have some wear and tear on it, but I was willing to deal with it for the deal that I got. I only paid a little over 2 grand for it. So I made a down payment on it through paypal and then went down to get it the following weekend.

When I arrived I asked to see the car and I was directed to it and given a set of keys for it. I looked it over and saw that it had a new VA inspection sticker but was obviously put on it just to sell it. The front tires were nearly bald and the fog lights did not work. All in all I was satisfied with it though. It drove straight, started easy, and was in pretty good mechanical shape.

So we continued into the business to make the rest of the payment on the car and transfer the ownership into our name. When we sat down we gave the guy ( I believe his name was Chris. He had a thick VA accent and a nearly bald head.) the money and received a reciept for it, filled out our paperwork and got our temporary tags, but when we asked for the title they claimed that they had misplaced it and would send it to us as soon as it was found.

We were a bit angry that they did not have the title in hand. After all, we had messaged them and specifically asked if they did have the title and they stated that they did. We had planned on taking the title back to PA to have it titled and registered as a PA vehicle.

A month goes by and we have no title. They havent contacted us to tell us what is going on, we don't have any idea what is happening. So I call them and ask to speak with the man that I had purchased the vehicle from. He told me that they were having a new title made because it had been misplaced and could not be found. I asked him to cover the costs of a new set of temporary tags, since the original temp. tags had run out and he agreed to it and sent them promptly.

Another month goes by and still no title and I havent heard anything. So I call them again. They told me that they had the title and they would be sending it a soon as they could. I wait a few weeks and I finally get the title. One problem though, its a car exactly like mine with nearly the same miles also, but its not the right vin. Infact it was to another vehicle on their lot.

So I called them and told them and they appologized and asked me to send it back to them and that they would send me the correct title. My reply was that I would hang on to it and return it when I get MY title. Months and more months go by and I dont have a title. Here I am, stuck with a car that I can't drive because I can't get it registered, inspected, or insured in PA because I don't have a title. Only a bill of sale. What good is a vehicle that you can't drive?

I continue to drive it though with a temp. tag that had just ran out. Well with my luck I end up getting pulled over. (My town is very small and cops are rarely seen so I felt safe driving it without anything. Very short distances that was all.) The cop nails me with over a 1,000 dollars in fines. I'm extremely angry and call the dealership one last time demanding my title at once. They tell me that it will be there within a week. Sure enough it does show up. Meanwhile my vehicle is at an impound lot collecting storage fees.

I don't think anyone should ever purchase a vehicle there. They are lieing cowards who won't answer their phones and refuse to connect you with the business manager. I lost lots of time and money because of this purchase. I read another case on here about the same business. It was a different situation but they were still pushed around by Tysons Ford and I feel for the buyer of that vehicle.

Don't purchase anything from Tysons Ford. I wouldnt buy my lugnuts there now, let alone another vehicle.

Speaking of communicating...

Your rebuttal seems to have no connection to the OP's complaint about having to wait a year for a correct title.

We expect people to communicate facts .

Dr.Saed did buy a vehicle from us about a year ago . He bought a vehicle that had a balance of factory warranty left on it .It was his option to purchased an extended warranty from us to extend the coverage of this luxury vehicle .

The warranty he purchased is cancelable or transferable at any time. Dr. Saed filled out a warranty cancellation form. We canceled the warranty and sent a check to his West Virginia address. He said he never received it. It never came back in the mail so we had to call the bank to order a stop payment at our cost. . He later e-mailed us with a new address in Pakistan. We sent out the second refund check to his new address overseas in Pakistan. Again he said he never received it and it was never returned by the post office. We had to contact the bank again to order the second stop payment for the check at our cost . We told him that we have a 14 day period before we send out a another check and that we wanted a verifiable address and phone number .

We are waiting for Dr. Saed to provide us with a valid address and phone number so we can send out the funds by certified mail that requires a signature . This will be our third attempt to clarify this situation. It seems difficult to get correct information from this gentleman. We are only getting e-mails wanting the refund with out providing us with the information we need .

The process of warranty cancellation is an easy process you fill out a cancellation form. You provide the current miles and dates. We cancel the warranty and send a check to the customers current address .

The acknowledgment in this case of the named employees in this compliant of Killmon's Tysons Ford of being rude, telling stories , or lying about the refund is disturbing and untrue. We expect people to communicate facts not fiction . We just need to get correct information and valid address to send a check to complete the refund process properly and secure.

Thank you !
