U Haul Time wasting rude and incompetent bumbling fools The business is a joke! Middletown New Jersey

My Aunt was downsizing from a house to a condo. She offered my sister and her husband and myself and my fiance a generous amount of beautiful furniture. Since we are all young and just starting out, we gladly accepted her thoughtful offer.

Since the distance from our homes in New York to our Aunt's house in New Jersey is about 180 miles round trip, we decided to make sure everything was arranged to go smoothly. My sister reserved a truck online, through UHaul.com. Someone had even called to confirm the reservation from UHaul.

However, as luck would have it, after driving about two and a half hours to New Jersey through traffic and blazing heat, there was "no truck reserved or available." The moron at the counter offered my sister a replacement truck with no brakes. What does one say to that? OH, thank you kindly, moron!

It may sound cruel to call the kid that was at the counter a moron, but he had to be to offer someone a truck with no brakes.

After calling number after number and being left on hold for at least fifteen minute intervals, UHaul finally had a truck available for us at 2PM. Our original reservation was for 11AM! Yeah, it was a real hoot driving back on the George Washington Bridge at 8PM that night, when we expected to be unpacked by then.

This may sound petty to some people to just be inconvenienced for a few hours. Compared to some of the other stories that I read on the Rip-off Reports, this sounds tame. However, it all goes back to the same theme, UHaul does not care about customer satisfaction. If that is true, why be their customers? I know I won't make that mistake twice.
