I received an e-mail stating I had won an e-mail lottery.
They want $1550.00USD to transfer the money.
They also want personal information.

I just want to know if this is legitimate or not.
No one seems to know any thing.
Please could you give me some information on this man Alhaji Aliu Ibrahim and if he really works for the Remittance Dept.
Also if this is a legitimate claim for me.

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM....

AUTHOR: Stephen - (U.S.A.)

Anything that you get via email from Nigeria is a SCAM....no if, or, & buts about it. Everything that comes from that country is designed to separate you from your money...no matter how legitimate is sounds, or how much they try to tell you how legal it is, it is still a SCAM.

If you've won a lottery that you didn't personally enter into, it is almost always a SCAM.

I've received hundreds of emails telling me I've won (what would now be BILLIONS of dollars in international or foreign lotteries)....they were all SCAMs.

They send these emails to tens of thousands of people all over the world and if you ever send even just a little bit of cash to them, they will pass your email, name and anything else you give them to other criminals so they too, can separate as much money from you as they can. They don't care how old you are, or if you are on a fixed budget or living on dogfood, they will take your money and disappear.

Another favorite is to tell you that a person with your same last name died recently and left a substantial portion of money, almost always several millions of dollars and that you are apparently the sole beneficiary. It's only because you have the same last name that they put in the email that gets you. You really didn't have any relative where they said, nor did anyone related to die and leave millions for someone to collect.....it is all one big SCAM.

Beware, Beware, Beware,

SCAM

Anytime you receive an unsolicited notification that you won something, you didn't win anything. in 99.99999999% of the cases, if you didn't make an effort to enter a contest or lottery or other game, you CANNOT win. These are all scams! I notice in this Repoff site that there are numerous people who are desparate for money and are gullible to fall for these scams. I get this garbage on my e-mail almost weekly - I delete them, trash any check I receive in the mail, etc. Also, do not fall for telephone scams either. Same issue, different method of taking your hard-earned money.
