Union Plus Credit Card Company Husband had a credit card, he sign contract his was only name of contract & Credit Card. I did not do either City Of Industry California

Husband past-away October 22, of this year. He had a credit card with just his name of card. he also sign the contract with his name. they are saying that I am responsible in paying off this credit card acct. since i did not sign the contact, or my name is not on the credit card. do i have to pay off the bill.
Does the State of Missouri have a law where the wife is responsible for his bills. if i did not sign on no dotted line.
