In 2007, I financed my car through United Auto credit. The price of the car was $10,990.00. I made a $2,000.00 downpayment and an additional $1,000.00 payment just to get the loan. I was desesperated to improve my credit. Unfortunately after more than a year of on time payment i lost my job. With this guys there is no grace period.

When I was unable to make the payment they started calling me the day after payment was due. Few days later, I got a job with a lesser pay, i called them explain them the situation and promised to make a payment asap. They asked some info like my new job phone number, the address, etc. I was naive, 20 days after the due date a tow truck came to my job and repossed the car.

My last payment reported that my balance was $8,331.40. This company reported to the 3 credit bureaus that i have a past due of $13,000 and after selling the car I owe them $7975.00 . I am wondering how much they sell the car for ($356.41 ?). The car look much better at the time of repossession than it was at the time of purchasing. This report is hurting my credit. I don't think is fair to anyone to be penalize by a false report of a servicer.

I wrote them numerous letters to require the paper work of the final sale But I never have an answer. Finally I sent a certified mail with returned receipt, and the letter was returned to me for  "not deliverable as addressed, unable to forward". I used the address I always have. Stay away from United Auto Credit Corp UACC

Stay Away From...

You failed to make the payment on time and they started making collection calls. Nothing new or unusual about that and no rip off either. You continued to not make the payment and they did a repo. Nothing unusual about that either! They sold the car at auction and now you are hit with the rest of the contracted amount. Of the purchase plus interest plus fees. Nothing new, unusual, illegal, unethical or sinfull about that either...in fact...its common practice for those who fail to make payments when they said they would. Stay away from them? By all means as well as ANY other dealer if you can't or won't live up to your responsibilities under the contract! Welcome to the cold hard facts of life for you, me or anybody else who gets involved in financing a purchase! And no...I don't work for them!
