United Collections Bureau Illegal contact ripoff Toledo Ohio

A Mr. Hyman from UCB tried to contact my wife at work on August 14, 2007 and then one of the reps. contacted a neighbor to ask them to let us know thay were trying to contact us. On August 16, 2007 they again called my office and I was in and told them this was a business phone and not to call and the lady said that she could call anywhere they wanted. I told her that by law they could not contact anyone else unless they did not have a valid phone number or valid address. I have not received anything written from them up to this time and told her not to contact us until we have received the notice. I was told that the letter was sent on August 15, 2007 which was sent out after the first contact. On August 14th Mr. Hyman said they were the last collection agency before the credit card company filed suit. The credit card company has already charged off the debt in the amount of 18K, they told us that the amount owed now is 30K. I believe that they are pushing the limit on legality at the most and at the least unethical.
