United States Legal Investigation Scammer calling my office line! Murrieta California

First they called my office line and left a message that got me pretty curious. they stated that htey were calling from the United States Legal Investigation. they claimed that my social securtiy number has been used in criminal acts. It was a middle eastern man that left the message and answered the phone. I asked him several times if they were a government agency and he said yes. I told him that I was recording the conversation and he said ok that was fine. He immediately put me on hold for over 5 minutes. I then hung up and called back. At this point when I confronted him about his agency he then got very rude. I am not sure what they are trying to do but be warned America!
