I entered into their office while working a position in a local office for $36,000yr. Tired of the corporate politics I was looking for fresh air and chose the open road. they promised me a position with WERNER and showed me a fax that said I was "in". That was my requirement as I was currently employed and wanted confirmation of a waiting position b4 giving my 2 week notice.
They promised a minimum of $35,000 the first year (& this is the school talking) I gave my notice at my curernt employer and entered the school at the cost of app $6,000.00. A week later I rcvd notice that the position was not secure and they wanted more information about me and my work history and backround etc. This was after I quit my position and after the time to retract the contract had run out.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
Due diligence necessary

I understand your frustration with the situation. However, I believe that your situation falls under the "counting your chickens before they're hatched" category. I am in a very similar situation with a school, and I have been promised the very same type of thing. As you have suggested, I am crossing my "Ts", etc. to be sure that I don't get carried away with the "promise" of a great career and great money. I wouldn't be so quick to place all of the blame on USTDS. As a responsible adult we are wise to perform our due diligence when it comes to such life-changing decisions. Thank you for the report.
