On Oct 07, 2010 I purchased a vehicle from the auto dealer. It was the worst mistake I ever made I am a single mother with a child that has sickle cell, I work full time, I am a full time student, and a full time mother. However I went into this car lot my intentions were not to put no more than a 1000.00 to 1500.00 down on a vehicle. The car I had before broke down and the transmission went out. I thought I did all the research that told me this was a pretty decent company, went into the dealership and purchased a 2006 Jetta that had 102,144 mile on the vehicle for 3000 dollars down and monthly payments of 393 a month. My credit was not this bad to even had to pay this large amount, but after I had purchased this car and went through serveral events which I will go into, I discovered that anyone purchasing a car from this company will have to pay this balloon down payment, it will always be over or above 3000.00 this came from a salesman in their own facility that had disclosed this information to a friend of minds when her and her husband went to purchase. I wish only wish my car saleman could have been half of honest. Anyway, I purchased ths car the night I drove off the lot with the car I gave them 1000 on 0ct 24 I gave them 500 in cash. Now here is where the problem begin to occur. the payment that I gave 500 was actually due in the amount of 1000.00 but there was a problem were some events with my daughter's illness and things that came through my account threw off everything. In the state of NV, it is required by state law that the dealership issue a green slip to the new owner within a 20 day period. Because I did not pay the amount I was suppose to my green slip or DRS to register the vehicle was with held on 11-8-10 I went down to the DMV to report this, in mean while I had paid my first payment to the bank which had financed me (quality acceptance).  I could had paid the dealership but due to my circumstances at the time I could only pay one or the other. I called the bank and asked them what could I do and the bank said we are the company that financed you and the owner of vehicle and have the right to repo the car if payment is not made. So with that I made the payment to the bank, I mean while the dealership who had got me financed through this company, brought back my acccount from the bank and on 11-10-10 called me while I was on my way to school, I had spoken with a JOHN and he did not in no way inform me that my vehicle is now owned by them and that my car was up for repossesion. He made it seem like I can come down an get my green slip, and that on friday I would be able to come down a talk with them about the down. That night while I was preparing to take my final exam in A&P my classmate comes in and tells me that my vehicle was being repo'ed I told him this was impossible because I had paid my car note. So I went out to look and sure enough they were repossesing the car. Anyway after failing my exam I contacted the dealership who is demanding payment I told them what the bank had told me. Ihe dealership nor the bank had told me that my contract was bought back by the dealership, even after I made the initial first payment to the bank. I never recieved anything in written or in the mail and even after the many conversation after the vehicle was repo'ed did the dealership mention that they were in control of my contract. So on 11-13-10 after my many calls to the bank, it was then revealed to me that the dealership brought back my contract. I called the dealership I have told them I do not want to do business with them give me back my down of 1500 and cancel this contract NIMA said I will pay for this car which by the way totals 18000.00 I only had the car for 34 days and manage to ruin my credit even more, it took less time than it would take to purchase a home. Even though they have broken the State Law by which the DRS slipp was never issued to me. So now  they are being investigated by the DMV and the BBB. But it still puts me in nowhere land, the car lot keep saying work with us, why would I when you pulled every trick to repo my car. I want everyone to be aware of this company if you feel your credit is that bad don't believe it there are plenty of other companies in las vegas that can get you into a good running car without charging you your life! On top of all of this my daughter ended up having a major crisis which put me off from work some more days. Playing catch up isn't fun, and if your gut is telling you to run, do exactly what it says. Went to their website today 11-16-10 and the car is up for sell! Less than 5 days later. Where is my rights, or am I out of 1900 dollars for nothing!(down + plus 1st payment to bank)

Well life has been great to someone! No, this company is not for single black mothers, I'm not black! Your response, defines your motives even more. You are Racist!! Why don't you give them a call? They can give you their stats, on their clientele.. I can guarantee it's not black single mothers, or single mothers.

Michelle...all bad assumptions...on your part

AUTHOR: Southern Chemical and Equipment LLC - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, May 18, 2012

Michelle,

Actually, I have never done business with this car dealer, and I never finance anything.

I pay cash for all of my vehicles.

I don't know why you would assume I have done business with them.

Secondly, I do not work in a "chemical plant".Another bad assumption.

Actually, I own this business outright and don't owe anyone anything.

Third, I know when the report was written.

That was never in question.

I was just compiling notes on the demographics of the customers that frequent this business.

I have found that the target customer is the single black female, single mother, illiterate.

My research is now done.

Thanks.

You must be a very unhappy person!! However, the article I wrote over 2years ago, was out of frustration! So no I did not go through and spell check, nor did I check for errors! However, since you are not working in your calling as a teacher and instead working at a chemical plant, I would suggest that you stop snorting the chemicals! Bad choices, if you purchased from them, your credit is not so great either. Curious was it the drugs or gambling? Well today I am driving a 2012 and oh guess what??? I have a bachelor's degree in health!!! LOL... isn't life funny! Well enjoy your over priced car with all those many miles on it! New Cars Rock!!

Here's where a good third grade education comes in handy.

AUTHOR: Southern Chemical and Equipment LLC - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, May 18, 2012

The bottom line here is that you are functionally illiterate as determined by your own writing skills displayed here, and you probably just couldn't understand the contract you signed.

Don't sign any contract unless you fully understand it.

Don't sign a contract unless you can meet the terms.

You obviously could not understand the contract and/or you bought something you simply could not afford.

Just the young single mother thing tells me you make bad choices in life.

Grow up.

Go back and try the third grade again.

Or, maybe you should have requested the ebonics version of the contract.
