University Of Phoenix Online - Apollo Group ripoff Do Not Go Through University of Phoenix To Get A Masters in Education Phoenix Arizona

I enrolled at the University of Phoenix in December of 2002 and was told that I would earn my M.A. in Secondary Education within 18 months. I was also told that I would be able to do my student teaching within this time frame.

Well, it is now May of 2005 and I still do not have my degree. Reason being... I have had difficulty finding student teaching placement. First off, I have had four counselors within this time period, all of which I had to resend information to regarding student teaching and problems I was having finding student teaching (which by the way, is your responsibility). On average, it would take two to three weeks to get any response over email or by phone. Since it took so long for counselors to get back to me, I have missed student teaching deadlines two times.

I have expressed my concern to my teacher education coordinator who recently said she would help me find student teaching placement (oh, thanks for nothing by the way). It has been three months since we last spoke and I still do not have student teaching placement.

Bottom line, you are better off going through a traditional University to earn your degree. It is cheaper (in most cases) and you will get what was promised to you. I could have gone to a local University to earn my Masters, paid $10,000 less, would not have to find my own student teaching placement, would be able to speak with a counselor when I call, and would be teaching by now.

I have an A average and all of my classes done, oh, and a big fat student loan that I am paying off as we speak, without a degree. I was misled out of a degree and money. Seems very unfair.
