Urban Active Fitness HOW CAN YOU STEAL MY MONEY!!!! Omaha, Nebraska

My husband I signed up for a 2 year contract. We went to the gym a handle full of times and didn't like the enviroment. We ended up purchasing home gym equipment and about 5 or so months before the membership reached the 2 year point my husband went into the gym and spoke with Brittney to cancel it. She said it was no problem to pay off our contract and end the membership. My husband who was required to fill out no paper work, paid the remainder of what was left on our contract and left.

The next several months went fine and we were not charged anything to our account. We assumed everything was fine. However, last month when balancing our checking account I noticed they resumed taking out charges. Immediately we went down to the gym and spoke to a man that said yes indeed we had paid it off and he didn't understand why this had happened. He said that Brad would call us first thing Monday to discuss putting the money back into our account.

Monday came with no call from Brad. Tuesday we recieved no call either (this was after my husband left him a message Monday afternoon and speaking to a manger whose only concern why was why did we cancel the membership and won't we come back?). Wednesday I decided to take it upon my self to call again. I did and suprisingly got Brad!!

I proceed to plead my case to Brad. He has a very hard time finding me, he finally does but doesn't have the details of my account right. He tells me that we have always been on a month to month basis. Then he sees where I did pay it off and said that I should have known it was still continuing to come out before now. I was shocked becuase it HADN'T been coming out until this past month.

He tells me he will have to get ahold of Brittney to see what really happened and that it is her word against ours. Really Brad?? Becuase why would I pay off a membership 5 months ago only to have you start up for me again on a month to month basis 5 months later?? He didn't seem to have an answer for this.

It ends with him telling me I have to come in and fill out more forms to cancel my mebership and that I will not be getting my money back anytime soon. That is so messed up.

If anyone does start a class action lawsuit against these guys I definitely want in!
