I arranged a move for my daughter from Atlanta to Los Angeles with US-1 Van Lines of Georgia. She excepted a new position there.
The pickup was on 8/1/06. It is now 8/29/06 and wehave no furniture. We don't know where it is nor when it will be delivered.
When we call Transit USA, they are extremely rude and have even hung up in my face a couple of times. Basically, they told us that we would get our furniture when they were ready to deliver it and they wouldn't know when that would be.
When we made the reservations we were told it would be from 7-10 business days from the pickup date. We can't get in touch with Michelle, at the US-1 Van Lines office, its as if she doesn't exist anymore.
My daughter has been without furniture for almost a month. She had had to buy new clothes so that she could go to work. We have been told that, given these people reputation, to expect to have a lot of damage and missing items.
Needless to say we are devastated!! I went with these people because the BBB in Georgia gave both, US-1 Van Lines and Transit USA a satisfactory rating.
As of today, August 29, 2006, we have no idea of when we'll get our belongings and to think, we paid for this!! There should be a special jail for people!
