US Xpress Company does not pay layover, or fair mileage.. Told 34 cents a mile but you end up on a sliding scale, the more miles you drive , the less money you get and remember NO LAYOVER. Tunnel Hill, Georgia

US Xpress is a deceptive trucking company, and you are easily lured if you are a newbie.  You are told you will get .34 cents a mile.  You actually get paid a sliding scale anywhere between .20 and .30 cents a mile.  The further you drive the less you make.  I worked and was out for almost six weeks. First trip to Laredo, had a layover for over two days.  Did I see Layover pay? No.  You do not get Layover pay as promised with this company. Every paycheck is a disappointed and an argument.  It does not get better, so cut your losses and don't expect better from this company, better yet, stay completely away from them.

They do not respect or care about how your life and situations are.  They do not care about your expenses and what you lay out to get started.  You are just a number and that has been proven to me.  I am no kid, I am intelligent, was a supervisor in my former position and still got reemed royally.  This is not just a complaint from a disgruntled former employee.  The truck by the way had alot of unreported damage that they wanted me to hop into, but I was even warned by an employee in the shop, don't get in until everything is in writing. The truck didn't even have oil in it.  Bottom line though still is your paycheck. It never is a good one with US Xpress
