USA Athletes International High School Travel Rip Off Olathe Kansas

We were thrilled when our daughter was picked to travel to Barbados. She was picked from other Athletes around the USA and asked to join a team of USA Athletes. This team would travel to Barbados and share their skills with other Athletes from that area. The travel times were also during our wedding anniversary so we decided this would be her high school graduation gift and we would travel with her for our anniversary

We paid the fee for the three of us (7794.00)and everything was inculded. The only problem was that the team was leaving on the same day has her high school graduation. So we notified this company, USA Athletes International of the problem. They advised that it was not a problem at all and that we could just travel the next day.

They e-mailed a form and requested we sign it and send it back. The form was a International Deviation Request Form. The first line of the form reads" This form is to be filled out by the athlete,coach, or other passenger who wants to extend their stay at the end of their USAAI tour". I did not see how this form applied to us as we were not going to stay any longer. I signed it and sent it back.

All went great and we had a wonderful time until 75 days after we returned home. My wife recieved a call from USA Athletes to say we still owed 585.00 for the flight deviation. I logged onto the website and sure enough they billed us 195.00 dollars each three people.

I was dumbfounded and sent e-mails to the subject who we first spoke to about this trip. He insisted that he had told us all about this issue and we were aware of it. I have been in touch with the Better Business Bureau and Clark Howard. Mike from the Clark Howad show called me back the next day and was very helpful.

I have called the company accounts receivable person however had to leave a messaage and it is a holiday weekend. I will add any updates when /if there is any more information
