I bought a 1997 Pontiac Grand AM V4 2.4L in OCT 2005, since the first day when I noticed that the windshield was cracked, the alarm had to be removed, and the manual window on the drivers side was a little fidgity...

Soon the drivers side windows was off its track, having to keep it up all the time, the car got its first Engine Light at 45 Days later "Multiple mis-fires in multiple cylinders" and randomly after that untill lately its happening almost everytime I start the vehicle, OH YEAH I FORGOT 60 Days after I bought the car the brake s are now griding...

THE CAR ONLY HAD 60,000 Miles and it is a 1997!! I want them (usaauto) to pay for theses hidden problems.

Really?

AUTHOR: Howardxftsx - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 30, 2010

To the guy suggesting people need to look at the cars more closely, I agree slightly. However, when does it really become ok for a dealership to sell cars with such ridiculous problems? I could agree with looking at small things, but don't you expect that something you finance via contract to at least be in solid working order? Furthermore, don't you expect the core components to be solid enough to drive for at LEAST a year?

I know it's just as ridiculous for people to assume these vehicles are in working order and all that. But it really isn't that much to ask that they be reliable, we're not shooting for 30k miles but dependability at the least. It's like going to Spencer's TV and Appliance and buying a used TV on payment, you should check it out but your more than likely going to assume at the sticker that it isn't a piece of s**t.

Just look up the amount of reports on this place, is it really justifiable to you still that these cars fell apart due to design? Or is it more viable to you now that they do buy fresh from the auction and load them on the lot? Still doesn't click? Ok, then what about the cars that get repossessed and placed back on the lot? Or maybe the trailers of cars they get from auctions that I myself had seen while there?

I mean come on. I really believe that these positive posts are by employees looking to give their fanboy company a good name. There is a reason the first time I went there the salesmen said someone broke out EVERY window of EVERY car on the lot previously that month. I believe it lies somewhere in all the disgruntled consumers who know owe thousands of dollars for a car they probably don't even have anymore.

Good dealer, bad choices

AUTHOR: Crazyblazer - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 02, 2010

I had bought a 2003 dodge dakota quad cab with 110k from USA auto. First day I took it home and noticed that the brakes were done. Took it back and they fixed they replaced all 4 brake pads and rotors the same day with no issues and no extra charges. I have had the truck for over 2 1/2 years now with minor problems , but that can be expected with high milage vehicle. My truck now has 170k and still looking good!!

I believe the issue is not with USA as much as the vehicles you are choosing. Explorers, malibu's, Grand AM's? All these vehicles had major recalls which could effect how long the car will last.

Malibu's had a recall and known issue for the intake manifolds cause they had junk gaskets which would destroy the manifold.

Grand AM's fall apart, inside and out!

Exploders, enough said!

The only suggestion I can give is please look into the vehicle you plan on buying from any car dealership. Not just USA auto.

Yeah right, USA Auto is a bunch of scam artists.

AUTHOR: Howardxftsx - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, March 02, 2009

Seriously... let's be realistic here people. USA Auto is nothing but a bunch of predators for no credit or bad credit buyers. I understand they are doing a service by offering auto loans and cars to people with bad history (Or lack there of like myself) but the reality is that they really do not care. They work WITH the finance companies in recycling vehicles (Repo straight back to the lot!) and selling cars other dealerships would not even fathom touching. The same can be said for any number of lots in this state that sell vehicles that the big dealerships would never even touch.

Honesty is far gone in the used car business I guess.

I bought a vehicle from USA Auto not too long ago myself. A 1997 Chevy Malibu that had high miles, but looked and ran solid at the time. However little did I know that the car had more hidden problems than I could even guess. Let's start with the following..

The service light was on because a censor's wiring was bad, which is fine and USA Auto DID fix this one. However they wrapped electrical tape around the wire to rig the thing into working instead of taking the time to do it right. I will now, in the future, have to do it the right way if the cheap method they used decides to fall apart.

The car leaked water slowly at first, after a month the water pump full on decided to take a dive. This would lead me to find an underlying cause of the leakage as well, that being a bad intake manifold gasket (1K+ easily).

The brakes were touchy at first, this would later lead into a cluster of brake problems that a mechanic would submit as something USA Auto should of seen but really didn't bother to mention or even acknowledge. Go figure right?

The windshield wipers fried a month after I had the car. Good thing it doesn't rain much I guess.

On top of all this, when confronted for selling me a complete waste of time and money, the "Owner", or some tough-guy with an invisiline, flat out told me that it doesn't matter. I can complain, boycott, get 3 On My Side, and do any number of things. But the bottom line would be I wouldn't be the first, and people will still line up at the door.

Good business ethics there.

If you still don't want to believe anything like the above.. then believe this.

My mom, the one who got me to come to the god forsaken lot, bought a 2005 Ford Explorer from them. It now has electrical problems (Good luck with that).

The point is, it's like playing blackjack with these guys. You hit or miss, and even if you nail a good car you better have it looked at for serious underlying problems. These cars, and I repeat, are straight from the auction. They have nothing done but a detail. They don't even change the d**n oil.

USA Auto is excellent! I recommend them highly!

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 12, 2009

I have purchased 3 vehicles from USA Auto and have been absolutely satisfied with every purchase. I have also recommended them to several of my friends, who have also been happy with their purchases. They have been friendly, helpful, and have provided me with excellent customer service. In point of fact, they have been much more accommodating and personable than the big car dealerships.

I have gone to them happily for all my used car needs for several years now, and will continue to do so. I will also continue to recommend them to others.

This gentleman found himself with a car with issues - something that could have happened at ANY dealership ANYWHERE, especially within the time frames that he reports, and especially in the case of a used vehicle. When purchasing a used car, you have to understand that it's USED and may have issues, issues that even the dealership is unaware of. Parts wear out over time, and we all know that something that works just fine today may decide to pack it in tomorrow.

USA Auto does their best to ensure that every vehicle is road worthy, safe, and in good operating condition when it leaves their lot. This man obviously believes that they hid the vehicle's problems and sold it anyway. My experience, and the experiences of every one I have sent to them, has been completely the opposite and I hope that users of this site will not take this gentleman's report at face value; that they will dig a little deeper and see if there are positive reports on this company as well.

USA NOT A RIP OFF

AUTHOR: Tamirah - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, April 25, 2008

I just bought a 2001 Infinity QX4, it has high milage but is in excellent condition! Mt car only had 1 owner the leather & wood grain interior is amazing and I got it @ a good price. My credit isn't great and they dsid evrything they could to get me in a car, not just any car but a luxury car! I am not sure what the other guy went through, but for future reference 1) Do your research on the car you want, 2) Don't just get anything because YOU are stuck w/ the payments, 3)If you ever have a bad feeling Don't get the car! As the other lady said who commented; USA Auto has you test drive the car, and once purchased gives you a 1-2 weeks to come back and let them know what's wrong and they fix, just like I did for my truck. So ther for USA AUTO IS NOT A RIP OFF! Sorry for what happen to you Mr., but next time get a 2000 and up model, a 97 was too old anyways. Wish you luck on buying a better car.

USA Auto is a GREAT Company to buy from

AUTHOR: Sally - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 29, 2008

My husband and I have purchased 5 vehicles from USA AUTO in Mesa AZ since 2001. They hav always been honest in everything they have told us. We are actually purchassing our 6th vehicle from them today. The point of taking a used car on a test drive is too feel out what problems it has. If you didn't tell them the problems it had in the first place, then the blame and fault lies on no one but yourself. If you would have told them before you signed the contract, they would have taken care of it, as they fixed several prolems on the cars we bought from them. As for the brakes, that's normal wear and tear. You had the car for 2 months before the brakes started rubbing. That means when you took the car off the lot, it was roadsafe. Who's to say you weren't espcially hard on the brakes in those two months, causing them to wear down?

I stand by USA Auto Sales 100% and will be a devoted customer to them for many years to come. Thanks Rick, Randy, Ramone, and Kevin, and all other employees I haven't had the priveledge to work with yet!
