I received a call from a woman who said she was friends with the boss
and that he directed her to call me about sending us some discounted office supplies.
She said her business was moving out of state from CA and that she would
send me some supplies dirt cheap - quoting prices by the dozen. I
received the supplies a few weeks later and the invoice a few weeks after that.
When I received the invoice the prices were outrageous - and no where
near discounted and the items were priced per each individual item and
not by the dozen. For example, I was told a box of tape containing dozen
rolls of tape would be $2.89 - on the invoice however the prices is
listed as $2.89 per item -- which came to almost $70.00 for 24 rolls of frosted tape!!
The invoice was ridiculously expensive for the quantity and quality of the items we received.

When
I called the company they offered to discount the invoice first by 20%,
30%, and then 50%.  But even still with the discounts the prices are
much higher than regular retail price.
