I called and said I needed my car repaired. I told him what I was told was wrong with it and got a quote. He said he could fix it that day. It was a state holiday so I decided to trust him as my regualr mechanic was closed that day.
The mechanic arrived nearly 2 hours late and after telling me what I already knew was wrong with my car told me he had a headache and coudn't fix it today, which was the whole point for calling in the first place. Did I mention that it was a holiday and I spent it waiting for a mobile mechanic to come to my house?
He said he would fix it the next day for $90 plus parts which it would normally be more, but I had to pay for the trip today at $65. He promised to be there at 4:30pm.
The next day he showes up a full 2 hours late, he didn't have the part because he said he didn't have $30 to buy it and would have to get the money from me and go back and get it. At this point all other mechanics were again closed so I went for it it, I was a sucker for that.
Then he spent 4 hours to do a job he promised would take only 2 hours unless he found other problems wich he didn't find. The breaks worked while he was pressing on them and he aksed for the cash, we handed it to him being we thought they worked, we could see they were on. Then he hops out of teh vehicle and the lights were still on! Meaning the brakelights don't ever turn off! He said, the money was to get the lights to work, now they do, and if I want them to turn on and off when I press the brake on and off I would have to pay him per hour to take the everything apart again and he wasn't sure how long it would take.
I called the owner and he said too bad, that he isn't responsible for the mechanic and that the mechanic wasn't working for him today, he was working on his own. I asked him why would I wait an additional day to get my car fixed only to spend more money on it? This makes no sense.
I told him was going to file compaints online, which I have done and am doing. He then said he wouldn't start a war with him because he knows where I live. Thankfully I don't live where he did the job at.
Avoid this buisness at all cost, Utah Discount Auto is the worst business I have ever worked with, so bad I formed this account just to file a complaint.

I called the police because the threats got worse. I found out the owner was a felon. The crime so horrific that I'm almost scared to post the link here. the crime unit came and took pictures of my phone at 3 in the morning, I got no sleep at all. come to find out he's been doing business under a different name in another state and is being investigated by the attorney general for intentionally breaking vehicles and then charging double to fix them.

When he said he knows where you live, the only report you should have been filing was with the police.
