I tried to order one product on free trial with no commitment but to pay for shipping (Puria Skin Serum), and the website forced me to order "Lumidaire" Eye Cream also. Then I was billed $89.95 and $94.95 for the two products within 12 days during the '30-day evaluation period'. Additional money was charged for "insurance" which was not elected.
Viewing the terms and conditions is not part of the checkout process; one has to search for them by scrolling to the bottom of the page. There are several obviously false indicators on the ordering page to "hurry" to complete your order, since supplies are "limited". The "terms" state the company's unreasonable demands of the consumer, but the consumer is not aware of such terms.
The male company representative by phone resisted accountability for his statements and his company's unethical and fraudulent actions. This Costa Mesa California company's owner needs to be charged and prosecuted by the State of California. Let us all know if you have taken any actions to report your incident to the authorities - the Consumer Fraud Protection Bureau, California Attorney General in Sacramento, and the California Better Business Bureau.
