I am a licensed Florida Mortgage Broker.
On March of this year one of my clients, an elderly couple needed a loan to solve their financial difficulties.
I approached several companies and picked Value Financial that is located in Miami and does reverse motgages.
I assisted this couple in alll phases of the loan processing, until at the end of July, the loan was successfully closed.
They did not pay my commision in July due to problems with Title company and no funds were available this month. This is their version.
On August I made several calls to this company to get my money and finally was told to go the first week of September to get my check.
To my surprise when in their office ,was informed, that the maximum they could pay me was $200.00 in cash and not the regular commision of $1,250.00
I did not accept what was offered to me , This insulted my intelligence and was told that all the other brokers will get the same and that was nothing I could do about it. Mr. Ramos bragged that he had made over $25,000.00 this month by paying cash and avoiding IRS, which is ilegal.
To this date, I have been told that I will not get anything, for refusing to accept the cash offer. I was also told that the reason for non-payment was due to instructions from my client not to pay me, which is a big lie.
My customers have signed an statement denying this allegations, also they have offered themselves to be my witnesses in court.
Mr. Charles Kluck, a vice-president in Value financial told me over the phone that he knows a mistake was made and it was too late to fix it, that he could offer to reimburse the lost money and get paid an additional 50% of commision as long I provide them with a new customer. This in my book is called conditioning or blackmail.
I need help to collect my money and stop this unlawful practices.
