I check into the Value Place Aurora CO on May 14th, 2015 and should have seen the warning signs from the start.  DaRon Porter, Manager, was on the front desk and could not have been ruder, disrepectful or less caring if he'd tried.

The next day I returned from work and was unble to get into my room.  DaRon was again on the front desk and told me it was because I had placed the card next to my cell phone.  With a new key I was still unable to get into the room.  He changed out the batteries twice and we still couldn't get in.  He then left me outside my door while he went to get a cleaner and programer.  After 30 minutes I had to go and track him down.  After cleaning the lock we were able to get in but the lock still did not work properly and would take 20 or so tries to get in.  DaRon informed me that seeing as it was after hours on Friday the reader would not be replaced until Monday. So I spent the weekend in the room or had to leave the door open when I left.

On the 20th I paid a second weeks rent and then I was charged again today the 23rd for the same week depleting my funds.  I called my bank and was told I could get the funds restored with an authorization code.  I went to the front desk where Shaiteria was as helpful as she could be but did not have the authorization code and gave me notice which stated the transaction company was responsible. She called DaRon and he stated that it was not his problem and referred to a notice I was give in which he stated---"There is nothing that we can do from the property level to correct this issue, it just has to run its course."

He would not work with my bank or get the necessary authorization code needed to restore funds.  He even told me the bank would not restore the funds while I had the bank on the other line saying they would with the proper code.

Again DaRon was rude, uncaring and disrespectful even raising his voice to me over the phone.  His attitude was its not his fault and he could care less---to bad.

In an unrelated event, the day after checking in I was talking to an Aurora police officer and when I told him were I was staying he told me to get out ASAP because of all the drug activity going on at this location.  How I wished I had listened. 

The nights have been loud but I have ignored it because I can turn over and sleep thru anything.  From now on I'll call the Aurora police department.

Stay away!  I wished I had!

First, I have stayed at Value Place in many locations, ie Corpus Christi, Tyler, Brownsville ect.. so I don't expect 5 star service.  I have also stayed at Intown Suites and Extented Stay locations in the US, so know what to expect.

Second, perhaps I am ignorant of how the third party transactions work, but I have worked in retail sales in a restort town and I do know the card can be swiped again and a refund done, even if it takes a few days.  My bank said they could restore the funds with an authorization code that day.  Who am I to believe my bank or DaRon Porter the Manager.

Third, disrespect.  Does someone have to spit or fart in your face to show disrespect? 

Fourth, how do you know if I'm racist or not?  How do you know what race I am?  How do you know what sex I am?  You must know who I am to make those remarks.  Is that you DaRon or a friend? You used the terms racist, Sally and Hag. I never restored to name calling or race.

Fifth, the issue of be locked out or of drug activity you don't even address. Which leads me to think you must know something about that.

Finally, I'll take this to the corporate level and I'm sure I'll get blown off but I'll be out of this hell hole on ASAP.  Room 333

 Were YOU perhaps expecting five star service from a 2 star location?? GET OVER YOURSELF JACKA**!!!! The MANAGER is correct!!! THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO!!!!!! See YOUR ignorance is telling!!!! YOU are ignorant of how the process works. Businesses DO NOT have a direct line to YOUR bank account. It goes through a THIRD PARTY VENDOR that has been contracted to take card payments. Its ALL automated. Meaning that a simple data issue can cause YOU to be charged TWICE!!!!! But the main business DOES NOT KNOW THIS!!!!! THEY have NO CONTROL over the third party vendor and THEY have to let it run its course. While YES!!! IT SUCKS!!!!! There is NOTHING that can be done about it on THEIR end. THEY cant get a authorization code. ALL they can do is inform the vendor that there was an issue and the vendor will address it. BUT!! THAT doesn't matter to YOUR ignorant world view. ALL YOU see is my money is gone. So YOU go and blame whomever YOU think is responsible for it. NOTHING in what YOU have posted is showing ANY rudeness. HOW was this person rude?? Did he perhaps spit in your face?? Maybe blow a fart off right next to YOUR head?? No?? Or was it that he was dealing with an IGNORANT SELF ENTITLED JACKA**?? Im thinking YOU are the reason for his poor attitude. YOU DONT GET TO BE ABUSIVE!!!! Its business. If YOU cant be bothered to be polite and respectful EVEN WHEN you have an issue then YOU have no place to talk about OTHERS being rude. YOU interact BY EXAMPLE. DO NOT expect others to know what YOU consider polite OR rude. I find YOUR POST to be so highly disrespectful. I mean YOU CHOSE to live there and EACH instance of an issue THEY HAVE ADDRESSED BY YOUR OWN WORDS!!!! So grow up a bit there SALLY!!! YOU GET WHAT YOU GIVE!!! It really just sounds like YOU are a racist HAG and YOU are just causing issues due to YOUR issues. Pathetic.
