Like it seems all others. My Accoutn started with Oakwood and when they filed Bankruptcy so vanderbilt bought my account. First Vanderbilt tried to state the terms of my contract differently. My due date was the 15th which had began thirty days after we moved in. Vanderbilt wanted the money due on the first of the month and stated they would charge late fees if not received by the due date 1st. When I attempted to inform them to read the contract again, in which I was speaking to a supervisor she hung up! How professional? So then the letters stating we did not have insurance and bills started coming in for THEIR policy. Which covered the loan amount only. None of our property and belongings would be covered under their policy in which was 3 times the cost of ours. But because Mysteriously the Fax machine eats their copy they never received our copy of insurance. Even though I faxed it twice and then the Insurance Agent faxed it and had a transmittal sheet showing it was successful in completion. So why am I responsible for their incompetence? I have dealt with this company for two years and it has not gotten any better. I am in Texas and had damage to my home Did they care? No their response was send me the insurance money and once you pay the bill we will start to re-imburse you ! I got a certified letter saying I owed 2 house notes. I sent a check for 1800 a month before and like I have heard before they apply it how they want to. Applied part to a due house note and the rest to principal and gave me ten days to cure the default. When I spoke to them and their lawyer well it was mysteriously fixed over the phone but I never received a letter stating that in writing. Like I really want to take their word for things that I am safe with my default>!?~ IF ANYONE has information of Class action lawsuit I want information . Call Me 409-745-0878....
