Vantage Point phone number they use is 214-842-6460 nationwide scam alert, deceptive practices, bullying and illegal techniques Texas

This is a scam and they are preying on people, beware. Individuals from Vantage Point (area code is 214 which is Texas)  claimed to be arbitrators mediating on behalf of criminal complaints for the county I live in, and also attorneys- I don't know of any law or arbitrating agencies that answer their phone when you call them back with just "hello"- might as well just said 'tsup or "howdy".

They called my home at 7am on 11/11/14- person identified himself as Jeff and stated he was an arbitrator for a complaint filed in Ada County, Idaho, and that we was mitigating this complaint before a warrant was issued for my daughter. He stated she had written a bad check in the past few weeks, and that the person the check was written to had filed a criminal complaint in Ada County, he said he was mediating the situation before it became a criminal complaint.

Jeff also stated that if my daughter did not respond and clear her name and pay court fees and restitution she would be arrested. I told him she didn't even live here, doesn't have access to write a check- he again repeated the complaint filed and she needed to take care of it.

I got suspicious and called my Attorney General's office- as it was Veteran's Day the office was closed so I called the local police department to ask if a complaint had been made. The police stated that this sounded like what has been going around the state of Idaho for a while and was more than likely a scam.

I called back Vantage Point to inform them not to call me anymore and that I reported them to the local police department. The woman demanded my daughter's name and information- I refused- she began to yell at me and told me that my daughter had taken out a Payday loan and not paid it back (this is a different story than what "Jeff" had told me earlier) and that she had my number off of caller ID and would be calling my police department and file a complaint against me. I told her to not call me anymore and she hung up on me.

At 10:45 am the same day Vantage Point called my number again- I have blocked their number on my phone to hopefully avoid further harassment from them, I have also filed a report with the Federal Trade Commission and Idaho Attorney General's office.
