The name of Mr.Alexander Varvarenko was black listed before Varamar even started its activity when he was scandalously fired from OXL Flamar(Belgium) being suspected in money laundering and later charged for  "grey" deals that was the reason of his moving back to Ukraine from Belgium.

In Ukraine Mr.Varvarenko found a job as a managing director in Kaalbye Group where problems didnt pass him and the resonance event of transporting on MV Faina (Kaalbye Group is an owning and operating company of the ship), cargo of 33 T-72 Soviet tanks, ammunition, grenade/rocket launchers, small arms to Somalia and from there to Sudanese rebels was given the extensive local and international media attention.

Currently Mr. Varvarenko operates from so called Helicon Security Group http://www.heliconsecuritygroup.com/  that provides maritime security services not being licensed by MOD (Ministry of Defense) neither of Sri Lanka, Djibouti or Oman that is strictly required from the port authorities to load or unload security personnel. Moreover, the company Helicon Security Group is not insured and at its own risk sends security guards overseas and doesnt bear any responsibility in death case of the security guards being shot by pirates. The armed resources used, mostly AK 47, are illegally purchasing that being stored at the armory for a long time are rusty and can barely shoot. Neither EUC/End User Certificate/ nor other accompanying documents are not available for weapons purchased illegally.
