On May 11th, I signed up with vehiclehistorylookup.com to pay the $1.00 charge that was advertised in order to obtain a vehicle history report.

On May 14th, my credit card was charged $19.95 under carinfo2.com.  I did not notice this charge on my banking statement.

On June 13th, my credit card was again charged $19.95 under carinfo2.com without my knowledge or consent. This is the one that I noticed on my banking statement so I went ahead and googled the company.  It turns out all I had to do to get a refund was email [email protected] // . Google shows that the company deliberately overcharges people and then other customers have to fight to get their money back.

I emailed him and he said he was refunding me for the June 13th transaction but will not refund me for the May 14th transaction.

This is his email to me when asking about the first initial transaction:

"Hello James,

Unfortunately I am unable to process the May 11th refund because the transcaction happened over a month ago. I have refunded the $19.95 from June 11th and you cancellation number is xxxxxx.

Please feel free to contact me with any further inquiries.

Regards,
Josh
Customer Service Manager"

This obviously does not sit well with me because they will knowingly keep your account open and continue to charge your credit card until you say something.  Then in order to profit, they will only refund you once and claim that they cannot refund you for charges exceeding a month old.  This is an obvious scam that takes advantage of people who have overlooked their banking statements from previous months.

Someone please put a stop to this and Josh Faser's practices. I have filed a claim with my bank.
