On June 30, 2009 I was contacted by a mitigation consultant about doing a modification on my mortgage. I gave him all the documents that were necessary and 1,000.00 down payment. He advised me I would be getting a call from someone in a few days. The Mitigation Consultant also told me that he contacted my mortgage company on July 13, 2009 he just sent an authorization form which I found out later was not the correct form and he failed to contact me to tell me this and give me the correct form.

On July 31, 2009 Mitigation Consultant put in for 1,450.00 to be taken out of my account, he was advised by me not to do this until August 1st. I got insufficient fund fees but my bank was able to reverse the 1,450.00 and I was still charged for insufficient funds. I then spoke to the Mitigation Consultant and he said that this would be corrected and I would receive my insufficient fund fees back. He also told me I would not be charged 1,450.00 because I had given him referrals I expected at credit for 1 referral for the amount of 100.00 but this did not happen. Then he said his boss wanted to speak to me and explain what happen, his boss did not explain anything he asked me what happen and told me that they would being sending a cest letter to stop my mortgage from going into foreclosure this never happen either.

I spoke to Mitigation Consultant and he said it was sent I asked for a copy of the letter he said he would get a copy of that to me. This man has lied over and over Then all of a sudden the person that was suppose to contact me in a few days after June 30th contacted when I requested this letter on August 17th. I was upset at this point and yelled at the person she then told me he had just given her my file, when for weeks he said he already sent it over (liar). Then I had to refax all of my information I had previously given to him all over again because he did not have the documents. I then received another acceleration letter from my mortgage company and became very nervous and uncomfortable I then emailed the Mitigation Consultant on Saturday August 22nd requesting a full refund because I had been lied to on numerous occasions.

He never responded, I sent a second email still no response. This agency has also done this to one of the referrals I gave him and this clients home went up for sale. They even had one of their Mitigation Consultants call his mortgage company and pretend to be the homeowner because the authorization form had expired that is called fraud. Someone needs to stop these people from taking advantage of others that think they are going to help them. I am now applying for modification through my mortgage company which I should have done in the first place had I known better, and they are investigating this office. He also told me that it could take more than 90 days for modification where in the beginning he said 60-90 days the story changes all the time. My mortgage company told me 45-60 days.

I have contacted the BBB of New Jersey I have called the attorney generals office and the news and I am not done yet. I am getting legal council now to get my money back. We all need to get together and do something about this.  All I want is my money back for no services rendered.
