My husband was going to surprise me for my birthday with tickets to the Def Leppard concert on June 22, 2011. He went to ticketmaster and got to the "buy tickets" section. He was directed to a website that was called "ticketnetwork" instead of the site affiliated with ticketmaster, which is livenation.com. He had never ordered tickets before so he didn't realize he had been directed to a scalpers page depending because of the seats he picked (seats I NEVER would have picked and did not want). He was WAY overcharged for these tickets--$441 for 3 tickets when he could have gotten tickets down closer to the stage for about $366. I emailed ticketmaster about what had happened but they claimed that they only used livenation to sell their tickets. My husband called ticketmaster and found out that this was a complete lie. I cannot begin to tell you how furious we are that ticketmaster would deceive people like this and then lie about it. It depends on what seat you pick as to which seller you are directed to and those 3rd party brokers can charge you anything that they want to. Not realizing he was getting ripped off, he bought the 3 tickets for crappy seats up in section 6 when I wanted tickets in Sections 1, 2, or 3. Now he is stuck with these overpriced tickets according to ticketmaster. This is not right. Ticketmaser should have explained that depending on what seats you choose, you may get a scalper rather than their own livenation site. We want our money back and anyone else who gets ripped off like this should be able to do the same thing. I am absolutely sick over this whole ordeal. We are a one-income household and we have to be careful with our money. It is not right what they did to us and probably countless other people.

very ungrateful...umm...person.
You wrote a report on Verizon Amplitheater, exactly how did they rip you off? The only thing you mention about them is that you think seats in section 6 are "crappy" and YOU would never have bought seats in that section.
Just on that how exactly is your husband, who has never bought tickets, supposed to know that you think those seats are "crappy"? Especially if he wanted to surprise you for your birthday. I would hate to be your husband and bring home dinner from the local Chinese Resturant as a surprise when you wanted Itallian.
It is not the fault of the Amplitheater or even TicketMaster that your husband didn't know he was buying tickets above face value. Although all he would have had to do was to read the page where he bought the tickets that states the following...
About Your Tickets
Tickets may not ship immediately.
TicketNetwork is an exchange.
Your seats are together unless noted.
Prices may be above or below face value.
Last minute delivery available.
----
I bolded the one important line. It states they may be above or below, your husband should have taken the responsiblity to find out what the face value of the tickets were BEFORE he bought them.

A couple things here. First, why are you posting this report to the venue when you never once mention the venue but go on about Ticketmaster, so essientially your report is worthless as it is not directed correctly, you might as well write a report about McDonalds and post it under Burger Kings reports.
Secondly, you state your husband never buys tickets, and then you go on to say how he was ripped off because he didnt know what he was doing?? How is that being ripped off, nobody made him buy those higher priced tickets. Is he not intellegent enough to realized the price on Ticketmaster and the price he paid was about $100 less? You should be filing a ripoff report on your husband, he is the one that ripped your one-income family off by not informing himself on how the system works.
Also those websites are not "scalpers", they are "ticket brokers". There is a big difference in the two, the main being, scalpers dont register with the state as a legal business. This is no different then you going into Target and buying a dish for $15 when you could have gone to Walmart and got it for $10.
