I purchased a Viagaurd Canine DNA test kit. Upon reading the instructions to register before submitting the sample, they ask for you to upload a picture of your dog. This made me a little suspicous, so I uploaded a picture of a full blooded Border Terrier. I proceeded to collect quality samples of my dog's DNA & returned them in the envelope provided.

Upon receiving the results of the DNA, I am sure they did not test my dog's DNA samples. They simply looked at the photo I uploaded & made up a DNA result. My dog is a Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix. The ancestry tree they returned to me includes: Australian Terrier, Affenpinscher, & Yorkshire Terrier on one side and Brussels Griffon, Norfolk Terrier & Schnauzer on the other.

That in itself tells me there is no way they performed testing on my dog's DNA sample. There is no mention of Australian Cattle Dog or Blue Heeler, which can obviously see in him.

I contacted them through their contact info and they have informed me that once the results have been released, they have no further comments.

I have attached a photo of the dog photo I uploaded, a photo of my dog & a photo of the ancestry tree I received. I think you will agree with me that there is no way my dog's DNA samples were analyzed.

You can not honestly tell me that after looking at my dog's picture, and the ancestry report, that his DNA sample was tested.

Sorry, but no...

Suggesting that the DNA test was not made because you don't "see" the mix the test seemed to reveal is the equivalent of being angry that your DNA test revealed that your family had origins in West Africa when you and everyone else in your family "looks" Northern European.  Looks don't mean all that much, sorry.

Asking for a photo is suspicious, though they might just be trying to get images to use for advertising purposes.  But you don't get to claim to be cheated until you send your dog's DNA to another testing company and get different results.
