Be Smart to say NO. NO...and Walk away...Watch out......this is just another scam report, just like others. Cancun vacation got ruining, very unpleasant experience, and very expensive lesson.

DON'T BE LIKE US!!!!!!!

read the contract carefully, make sure it said it is "Refundable", because in our contract it said "non-refundable",that's why when we tried to email them to cancel it within 3 days so many times, fist the Vida will ignore your requests, they will wait until pass the activation day, then called you and told you that the membership already activated, you can cancel but the fees is non-rufundable, so you have no choice but keep the membership!!!!!!!BEWARE!!!BEWARE!!!BWARE!!!!

facing the Vida 90 mins high pressure sale presentation, our appointment was 10:00 am, did not come out until we signed the contact and bought the membership by 4:30pm. when we  said no, they just lead us to another room, another sale representative,it is no ending....

the sale price from begining of over $100,000.00 cut down to around $5000.00 , but we still say no, so the sale representative offered us to get the 0% finance thru RCI and monthly payment will be around $100.oo somthing a month, very tempting. when we got approved letter from RCI, realized that there is no such thing call 0% finance, it is just a 0% interest credit card balance transfer for 6 months, and monthly payment is $850.00  for 6 months, what a big ,big......lie, lie

they promised that our $5000.00,membership just as same as $100,000.00 one-the highest tier and the best package that they offer to the public : 2 weeks signature weeks per year ( we can sale back to vida vacation, if we don't use them and can earn some cash into our pocket)and 1 week non-vida resort week per year ( if  trade or exchanged to non-vida resorts of the world, be promised and guaranteed the cost for 2 bedrooms resort for 1 weeks , will  no more than $525.00). total 3 weeks vacation per year, for 10 years would be total 30 weeks.

when you sign the contract, they told you that this is the 100 years membership, every 10 years , you have to pay renewal fees $299, for you to get another 30 weeks vacation for another 10 years, so you have to repeatley to do that every 10 years, they are so kindly to waive your first time renewal fee$ 299.oo. WHAT A JOKE!!!!

they also so kindly to offer you to try a  one year free  trial out membership-Vacation Privileges Vacation club, which will give you a $3000.00 vida saving credit, you can use it  toward your travel expense, if you don't like it , just cancel it, so simple, but you do not realize that, this is just another SCAM and TRAP, because you did not buy a Vida Vacation Club membership, it is just the Vida sales the membership for "Vacation Privileges" a company of Arizona of U.S.A. you would realize that you end up  pay $5000.00 membership for "Vacation privileges" not for Vida vacation.

without paying extra $99.00 "vacation privileges' yearly membership, you won't have $3000.00 vida discount saving rate but lowest market rate, and their weekly vacation cost is much higher than the vida promised : no more than$525-2 bedroom resort/a week.

without the $99.00 membership, you won't be able to book any vacation, you have to book your vacation thru their vacation specialist.

without the $99.00 membership, your signature weeks, non- vida resorts weeks, privileges weeks and instant weeks will all be expired and vanished by your end of membersip anniversial date.

if you don't renew this $99.00 membership with "vacation privileges" then  your 100 years membership will only last 18 months, because all your vacation weeks are expired and vanished, useless.

so,our $5000.00 end up buying an 18 months empty shell, the Vida did not deliver what they  promise: largest resorts inventory of the world; you can sale back the signatures weeks and get some cash into your pocket; guarantee cost for 2 bedrooms/1 week of non-vida resorts of the world for under $525.00, 1 bedroom /studio will be less than the 2 bedrooms unit.

we can not find those promises that shows and delivers on the "Vacation privilegs"

when you try to contact the Vida sale representative or secretary by email, they will ignore it, so you call vida customer service they will  give you the run around service and told you that you have to talk to the sale representative, so it is the dead end, no way out.

Thank you for yoyr response,  Vida/Mayan Palace.

I did  contacted the "Vacation Privilages" before your response, the answer from them is : contact your "HOME RESORT", which is leading back to you, "the source":VIDA-Mayan Palace" because everything all happened  at "Cancun-Vida-Mayan Palace", all the promises and guarantees are all made by your Vida/"SALE REPRESENTATIVE", at "Cancun/Vida/ Mayan Palace", and membership payment was taken by your  Vida/"SALE REPRESENTATIVE" AT "Cancun/Vida/ Mayan Palace.".........SO? ?????

Please don't give me another run around help, and point me back to " VACATION PRIVILEGES.

THE PROBLEMES ALL START WITH VIDA/MAYAN PALACE, PLEASE SOLVE THEM AT YOUR END!!!!!!!

THANKS

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

AUTHOR: charlesb12 - ()

POSTED: Monday, February 03, 2014

My wife and I were both victims of the Mayan Palace timeshare scam. We sat through the long presentation and after about 6 hours the salesman finally convinced us to buy. He explained to us how Mayan Palace is a great investment etc.. etc.. He also told us he was giving us this great deal and since it was such a "great deal" and it was a "previously owned timeshare" we had to waive our 5 day cancellation period. Little did I know this was the scam. When I got home and started surfing the net I realized what had happened. I immediately drafted a cancellation letter, filed a dispute with my credit card company and filed a complaint with PROFECO. As of today this issue is still not resolved and I am out $6300 dollars. All though Mayan Palace knows I cancelled my contract they continue to call me at my home trying to sign me up for another timeshare. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY!!! I am hoping that PROFECO can help me get my money back.
