Video Professor sneaky, ripoff! Better read between the lines. Poor customer service. Lakewood Colorado
The ad via the internet that got me was on the home page of a web site I visited briefly back in September. This is not the exact quoting but if you answered the ad you were given choices of what type learning material you were interested in(Excel,Word,Windows) and if you purchased the one you were interested in you were give one free and one to try for 30 days. If you did not contact them your credit card was billed for the price of only one cd + s/h (69.99 + 6.99); that sounded ok with me but these videos were for Windows 95 maybe 98? very obsolete!
I own a business and time is valuable I was not worried about 70.00 dollars or so because no one ever took my call and I even got hung up on a couple of times.
There was no return address on the videos or web site at the time of my complaint. I have since recieved three other out dated material from them without ordering anything but still getting billed with no knowledge of when or exact amount. I have complained to the company and I'm getting a full refund + S/H but I spent alot of unnecessary important time on the phone with uneducated reps and supervisors who treated me like an irresponsible child who just didn't want to pay up.
Well I agreed to pay for the first cd that I ordered and was not persistant on returning it. They just assumed(a*s-U-ME) that I wanted all of their material and billed me without my knowledge or consent and told me that the aggreement was if they did not hear from me within 30 days I would be sent and billed each product every 4-6 weeks.
That was not what their ad said; I was to pay only for one of the cds physically ordered. So my advice when you read the terms via internet get at least a second opinion of the material you are reading because the perseptions of every one or company's are different. If I'm paying for something I want a physical bill or at least an email telling me what the situation is; hince why do they want an email address just for junk that is poor business and if I ran my business that way I would be bankrupt and sued left and right. We the consumers need to keep companies like Video Professor from taking advantage and deceiving us and if I must stealing us blind without even a reason for their misconduct.
Their claim is that no answer or response to the original order means I want all of their tutorials inevitably; I'm sorry but doesn't that sound a little arrogant! The young ladies I spoke with I will use names Lettie & Justine were the only helpful reps I spoke with. CONSUMERS NEED TO KNOW! So my apologies to these ladies.
