These people NEVER have availabilities in resorts they tout as their luxury resorts. Their "available" units are never available during high season. Only hurricane season.
They took renewal money from my credit card in mid-March. Today is July 5 and we still have not received our new membership number or directories. So again, this expensive membership is useless.
These people begin by planting "hookers" outside your room on your first day of vacation. They make promises, keep you all day "touring" their facilities to sell you, then when the day is almost done and you're tired and thirsty they push alcoholic drinks in your face. We made the mistake of signing that night. The following morning they refused to accept our buyer's remorse request. Theives, liars, dispicable people!

On the word "hooker"

I would like to clarify that my use of the word was not meant to imply a prostitute, but someone who takes an opportunity to "hook" you in.
VIP has today (7-27-06) given us our membership number so that we may access additional listings and I am hopeful that this matter will soon be resolved.

Response to Rebuttal from VIP

This is a point by point response to the rebuttal of this unscrupulous outfit:
1) Out and out lie re: faxing printouts of over 5 pages of availabilities. I received one email with 3 dates in November for one (undesirable) hotel in Molokai. Nothing in Kauaii or Mauii at all, as I requested, and 4 listings for in Costa Rica (acceptable) but only in November.
2) The fact that this problem which is beyond your control and have made us aware of does not render this matter resolved!!! It is now July 20. I paid you in March. And you still do not expect them to go out for yet another month!! That will make it 5 months out of a year that I did not receive services that I paid for. What makes you people think that is okay???
3) Two more UNTRUE statements. We returned to your office the VERY NEXT MORNING after staying up half the night lamenting and drafting a hand written letter of recission - which you people REFUSED TO ACCEPT, and would only allow us to downgrade our program for less money.
I stand by my statements. And your threat of contacting your lawyers does not intimidate me, as I have not said a single thing that is not true and I have acted in good faith, unlike yourselves. My only concession is that I previously was not aware that there was only a rainy season in Costa Rica, not a hurricane season, and that hurricanes are more rare in Hawaii than I originally thought. Regardless, the listings are still not there and I invite anyone reading this to search your website and try and find these thousands of listings that you say you have.

This member claims that we "never" have any availabity. I have been in contact with her previously,as has our reservations department. I have faxed her printouts of over 5 pages of availabilities where she is looking to vacation "outside of the hurricane season".
We experienced a problem beyond our control regarding the annual mailers which she was made aware of. The problem has been resolved and she should be receiving the mailer in the next 30 days.
We do not encourage our employees to push drinks on people nor did we ever receive a written request of her intent to cancel.
We have and we will continue to do all that we can to help resolve any legitimate problem that comes to our attention.
