These people will FIND things to screw up on you! First they wouldnt honor the kickback promo to my roommate, who suggested the service. 2 mo. later there was a promo for 6 mo. of 10% additional minutes on your plan if you registered your credit/debit card online. So far I have recieved only 2 months worth. Ive had to call & fight to get them every time. And the chunks of extra time & 1 yr. account security they offered for my wasted time never showed up either. I actually gave up on this until a few days ago when(ironically) I saw the bonus time offer on my account again. Thats when I discovered all my credit card information was missing from my account.
The last 3 mo. theyve been charging me for SMS messaging as well when I still had texts left on my plan.
As usual, when I called customer service I was either hung up on, given the smoke-and-mirrors routine, lied to about the terms/conditions of the offers, told I was CRAZY! or making it up, or told the problem was resolved when it wasnt. EVERY TIME without fail this is the routine. Ive had to spend up to 2 hrs. time on this BS nearly EVERY MONTH.
So! It seemed I finally proved the non-existant 10% offer actually did exist yesterday. Thats twice for that deal. Supposedly I was credited 200 minutes with the rest to follow... Nobody seems to know where the missing credit card info. required for that promo went. I was assured it was mysteriously back up on the site. It isnt. Theyre still trying to maintain I never registered my card with them. Turns out I never recieved my "extras" for all my wasted time either. And Ive been refunded a fraction of what Im due for the incorrect SMS charges.
Im sure were all wondering whats next. Ive sent letters to Sprint (their parent company), the FCC (who does nothing, really,except for collect data until its a national issue), and my state attorney generals office. I keep warning these morons I have pretty detailed records of my calls and emails. They have trouble finding these reference items in their system. I requested a printout of my account because I wanted to check it thoroughly for errors. Whats online only goes back 60 days & you must go thru & print it out 1 single page at a time. The info on there doesnt appear totally complete or correct either. After mailing in my written request for my statement, they came back & told me that those are only released to the police. My hopes for ever having these issues resolves are pretty much gone.
I PAY for my SERVICE and the minimum of service standards are met. And these arent just my standards, they are standards put in writing by Virgin Mobile as well. What a company that blatantly refuses to fulfill their very minimal or difficult obligations to the customers who pay. Legally that is considered breach of contract, fraudulant dealing, and negligence! Someone should get a class action suit together, if anything to just embarass them and make a point.
If I could find service from another company with the same prices, I would take it in a second. Just because the offerings from Virgin are cheap (= low cast) does not excuse the service being cheap (= low quality). They are bordering on being a complete and total scam artist rip-off.
