 So WHY should they pay YOU for having the flu?? That doesnt make sense!!! The FLU is NOT the black plague!!!You cough, you poop, you throw up, AND YOU GET BETTER!!!! The company YOU work for is to cover sick days. Just because you went to the ER doesnt make it a case of fileing for partial benefits. YOUR TIME was cut and that is all. YOU proved that the hours they gave you were too much for you while sick. So they cut your hours to give you time to get better. Had you NOT gotten sick and had NOT called out then YOU wouldnt have lost hours!!! Its the nature of BUSINESS!!! Why are they going to rely on YOU when YOU call out?? HOW can YOU expect to recieve the same hours when SOMEONE ELSE had to give up THIER PERSONAL TIME to cover YOUR SHIFT?? managers WILL NOT rely on YOU if YOU have proven that THEY cant rely on YOU to show up for work?? YOUR being sick IS NOT THIER FAULT OR PROBLEM!!!! That is YOUR issue to deal with!!! What THEY have to deal with is covering the shift that YOU called out on. THAT is thier concern. if YOU dont have banked sick days DONT look to the state to pay your bills. YOU have to work HARDER and PROVE yourself all over again. Once YOU have shown that YOU are NOT going to be calling out for whatever reason, THEN you will see better hours.
