Virginia Personnel A HUGE RIPOFF Norfolk Virginia

Virginia Personnel advertises job in the newspaper, but when you go in, they tell you that the services are for a price. I thought about it, and thought I'd try it, so I wrote out 2 checks. One in the amount of 160.00 and the other in the amount of 290.00. They told me that the checks wouldn't be cashed, just collateral to start me on a payment plan. The girl KRISTY told me that I would be getting at least 10 - 11.00 per hour, but when I went on the first interview, the job only paid 8.00! I was like h*ll naw!!!

So after I found out that I still couldn't get out of the contract, I decided to suck it up and pay, because I had just found a good job. So I go in to pay 160.00, and go on about my business. About a week later, I call my bank, and Virginia Personnel has cashed my check in the amount of 160.00 ,I have reciepts, so I called and they said that they wouldn't give me my money back, but subtract it from my balance, which at the time was 290.00, the amount of the other check.

So, after that 160.00 check cleared, my new balance with them was 130.00. I had made two payments on 160.00 totaling 320.00, therefore leaving me with a balance of 130.00. I even went in one day to pay 5.00. So I thought everything was all godd, until I get a letter in the mail from ARS Collection Agency saying they purchased a check from Virginia Personnel for me in the amount of 290.00 because that was how much I didnt pay them. I was like WHAT?? So I explained to them what happened, and they told me to tell Virginia Personnel to call their merchant line to straighten it out, but at Virginia Personnel, they not trying to hear that because they dont want to give me my money back. Aint that some stuff. I aint paying nobody nothing until the price is right!
