Laura Spawn charges $49.99 for a 6-month subscription to virtualvocations.com, which lists work-at-home jobs that are listed for free on other Web sites. Then she automatically takes money out of your bank account for renewal without first notifying you about the bank transaction so that you can, first of all, make sure there are sufficient funds in your account, and, secondly, give you the opportunity to cancel your subscription before the renewal date. Her automatic-renewal-without-advance-notification policy caused a financial hardship for me and my family, and yet she refused to give me a refund for the subscription renewal that I do not want.

Response to Customer Allegations Regarding Subscription

AUTHOR: Virtualvocations - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 18, 2009

VirtualVocations is a job compiling website for telecommute positions available on the Internet. As stated on our homepage, we are a service website, saving people the time it takes to research work at home positions on their own.

We utilize PayPal as our third party payment processor for our available subscriptions. PayPal does not send out prior notices when subscriptions are coming due, however, upon signup, subscribers receive an email from PayPal letting them know the terms of their subscription and that they are able to cancel at any time to stop further charges.

VirtualVocations also provides on their homepage, easy to read information that states the subscriptions are recurring, as well as the fact that subscribers are responsible to cancel their subscriptions before the next due date to avoid further charges to their accounts.

Occasionally, subscribers become disgruntled when they have forgotten to cancel their subscription and the renewing payment creates a hardship on their bank account. Because subscribers have continual access to our database after their subscription renews, we very rarely provide refunds unless there is a technical error that does not allow them to access their account.

VirtualVocations is dedicated to providing a legitimate service to our subscribers. If you have further questions regarding this report, please don't hesitate to contact us at:
