About one month ago I applied on line for a personal loan with a company that helps people with not-so-good credit find someone that will help them out. I started getting phone calls from Vision Financial about two weeks ago, and they left messages on my voice mail saying they were calling me about a personal loan.

Last Thursday they finally got through to me and offered me the loan, direct deposit into my checking account, if I would just send them $1528.99 in advance for the loan insurance. I told them I would have the money by Monday and meanwhile they emailed me the forms to sign. I faxed them the forms and copies of my drivers license and pay stub.

On Monday, per their instructions, I sent them the $1528.99 via Western Union to Melisa Blackstock in Richmond Hill, Ontario CA. They assured me if I got them the money before 12 noon the money would be deposited in my account by 5pm eastern time. It was not.

On Tuesday I got another call from Vince White, my customer service rep, saying that the lender was not going to release the fees without me paying a brokerage fee of $651.99 immediately. I told them I had just sent them all the money I had (including the rent money). They offered to send me back the orginal $1528, but it would take up to two weeks to get to me. That wouldn't help me pay the rent - I needed money now! So I got a couple pay day advances and sent them the additional money.

On Wednesday I called Vince and every other extension I could about 12 times, sent two emails, paged them, and faxed them asking where my loan was. No one returned my calls or emails. On Thursday I called again in the morning and then about an hour later. By then the phone had been disconnected.

Now I'm out over $2100, being kicked out of my apartment and have $1000 worth of pay day advances due at the end of the month. What's truely awful is that these folks will just change their names and contact info and will keep this again and again to people. Things are obviouse to me now, but I wanted to belive someone was willing to help me get back on track with my debt. Mom was right - if it's too good to be true, then it's not true.
