Vivnt Security Sent my ex-husband's debt ( with my name on) right to collections. No warning call or anything!!! lethbridge Alberta

I left my husband two years ago and a couple months ago, he stopped paying Vivnt Security for their monthly bill. Not a good thing, i know.  The debt, which stupidly had my name on because we bought the product when we married and despite numerous attempts, my ex was told my name could not come off the file, was sent to collections. I was not notified at all. It was not my fault, but had they called i would have paid it! Now my credit is messed up because they have no customer service skills!  It was not the right way to handle the debt and i am very upset that they don't seem to care at all that my credit is messed up, even though i paid the stupid debt the day the collection agent called me!  Do not do business with these crooks!
