VNV LOGISTICS LATE DELIVERY, SAID DELIVERED WHEN IT WASN'T LIED ABOUT DRIVER LOCATION, HELD FREIGHT Etobicoke Ontario

Had freight to be delivered by appointment, when contacted to confirm delivery, VNV advised delivred, then received a call from the client asking where freight was, when VNV was contacted again, they adamantly stated that they never said that it was delivered, when they were asked where the driver was and for an E.T.A. they at first could not tell us where he was or give us any type of E.T.A., after approximately 5 more calls, they told us a location in Ontario, but when we contacted the clients broker, they advised that the freight had not crossed the border as yet.

We again chased VNV for accurate information, they finally told us that the freight was at their terminal, we booked another delivery appointment, which they again missed and we had to intercede with client to get freight received.  We negotiated a discounted rate with the lead dispatcher, re-issued a load confirmation and considered the matter closed.

Because we had used this carrier successfully over a 10 year period, we gave them another chance to redeem themselves, which was a serious mistake on our part as they decided to hold the freight until we agreed to pay them the full amount of the freight on the current shipment and the formerly agreed to discounted amount on the previous shipment.  As a result of these negotiations the delivery appointment was missed for this shipment and we had to rebook the appointment for the following day, VNV then decided that they required a $150.00 layover fee and again VNV decided to hold the freight until they received payment in full, we made the cheque available to them for the amount they requested and they delivered the freight.

To add insult to injury, when the sent the P.O.D. they also sent an invoice with a $40.00 balance due on it.
