Vons Safeway, Pavillions Ad in Press-Telegram newspaper for 4-cup Mr. Coffee maker; called Consumer Services, told NOT A SINGLE ONE is available anywhere in Long Beach Long Beach, California

Vons advertised in the Long Beach Press-Telegram and in a toss-away for a 4-cup Mr. Coffee maker.  I went to 2 local Vons and neither of them had it.  They suggested I call Pavilions which I did.  They didn't have any either.  At 9:30 am, I then called 1-877-SAFEWAY and was connected to someone who put me on hold.  When she came back she told me that they had already sold over 60 that morning in Long Beach.  Knowing that that was a lie, I asked her just which stores had sold the 60.  She put me on hold and came back and told me that she had checked all the stores in Long Beach.  She reported that:  There was NOT a single 4-cup Mr. Coffee maker in any store in Long Beach.

What a rip-off!!
