WACHOVIA MORTGAGE SKIP OR DEFERRAL OF PAYMENT RIP OFF SAN ANTONIO Texas

I called Wachovia Mortgage at thier "Loan Counseling" Department to apply to have 1 house payment defferred, they qualified me and gave me an approval to skip two months payment for June and July of 2009, I received an approval letter in the mail which I signed and returned to them in seven days but, wanted to make sure so I called them two days later and asked if this was a real deal had my June and July 2009 payments really been approved to be defferred? The customer service represenative replied YES and that my next payment would not be due unitl August 15th 2009. Nearly 2 weeks later I recieve a letter in the mail saying that Wachovia Mortgage was going to Foreclose on my home. They also charged me a late fee for one month that totaled 104.00 dollars!!!! I called them and they would do nothing to help, not even concerned in the least bit about the homeowner just wanted there money. The customer service represenatives in the Loan Counseling Department do not seem to get the correct training they need to help people with such an important bill such as a Mortgage payment. They may seem like they know what they are talking about but they really do not. I ended up having to come up with 4723.00 or they said they would start foreclosure proceedings on my home. They took no responsbility for the approval letter they sent out to me stating clearly that I did not have to pay June and July 2009 Payments and would not look into why they decided to deny me the defferral after they already approved it.

I believe they do this to gain additional daily interest as well as 104.00 late fees from Homeowners, if you are thinking about getting a defferral from wachovia on your mortgage payments make sure they give you something in writing saying that they can be help responsible for the defferral if anything happens once your told you are approved. We all work hard in today's economy to hold onto what little we have and companies like these should be ashamed of taking advantage of people. Be Careful of Wachovia take your business elsewhere believe me you won't be sorry, It will save you alot of money and a headache in the long run. Its just not worth it to do business with companies that pay no mind to the people who make thier companies possible in the first place!
