*Consumer Comment: huh?
I purchased my tv from walmart and it was showing fine but a couple of weeks before my tv went out the sound was starting to fade then it went completely out. I called customer service to see what the problem could be and they told that they couldnt do anything to correct the problem. Remind you I only had it for 1yr. 4mos.

Warranty through Wal-mart

The warranty for the tv from Wal-mart is 90 days. Since the item worked for over a year you have no claim through Wal-mart. You can however get a hold of the company that made the TV. Most tv's have at least a year warranty. Sorry your TV broke but you should have bought the extra warranty on such a pricey item. Though Wal-mart still wouldn't be the one replacing or fixing your TV.

you said the brand was ilo? when i buy "big ticket" items, i stick to brand names that offer solid warranties.
walmart doesn't have to warranty your tv, the manufacturer does. if you've never heard of the manufacturer, research them.

How is Wal Mart responsible for your tv not working? Please tell me, I want to know. Wal Mart did not make the tv - how are they responsible? Why would you call them to find out what was wrong with your tv? Did you call the manufacturer, the one who actually makes the tv? And how is this a ripoff against Wal Mart? Please explain, I am really trying to understand. Set the tv's on a timer? What color is the sky in your world? And even if they did set a timer, why 1 year and 4 months? Why not 1 year 1 month, after the warranty has expired? Please explain.
