My complaint is against Walmart Money Card.. Approximately 3 weeks I called the customer service # on my card, to get a routing and acct. # so I could have my tax return deposited on my money card. When I called tax season was over for 2013 which is the tax year I was filling,  I was NOT told my return would be rejected.

Until I was notified by the Irs that the funds for my turn were released for deposit on July 2nd.. On July 3rd. I called customer service for Walmart money card to see when the funds would be credited to my card..That's when I was told the money would be rejected because its no longer tax season.  I asked why I wasnt told that when I called 3 weeks prior.. All I got was im sorry for the mistake and inconvenience.

 Its was close to 5pm the day before the 4th of July weekend, I was panicked hung up and called the Irs to see if I could change the deposit to another acct. I was told it couldnt be changed and I had to wait up to 6 weeks for a check to be mailed..

During the weekend I sent multiple emails to customer service on the Walmart web site, what I got was the run around and said they couldn't do anything they were just there for desputes on the site.. They directed me to the money card site which has no option to email customer service. . 

Before I go any further the customer service # for the walmart money card directs you to speak to agents out of the country that barely speak understandable english.

I called customer service again this morning July 7, 2014.. while on hold for them they have a recording giving information on what to do if your tax return wasnt deposited I dont remember word for word what it said , I was to pissed off and on a mission to get my money.. A agent came on the phone. I said I was checking the status of my refund that was supposed to be put on my card.. Just to see if I would get any further with a different agent.. He says oh ok well let me check on that for you.. Gets back on the phone and says you already called and we told you the funds will be rejected.  I immediately asked for a supervisor.

The supervisor came on the phone I was only given a first name which was Jerome..Well Jerome gave me the same run around. I told him this was Walmarts mistake not mine, ive been a customer for yrs. And asked that they make a exception and deposit the money. He said there was nothing he could do to change the system. I then asked about the recording, he said thats for people who filled during tax season. I said so you can deposit their return and not mine.. yes mam, my response, you cant change the system that will reject it ,but other people can get their returns.. That was when he started to talk in circles. So I asked if the call was being recorded because your told they are , he said no im not recording it, I was livid at that point asked him to record, he refused. I than demanded to speak to an agent in the US , he talked in circles again , then refused. I asked for the phone # for customer service in the us he said he didnt have it.. About to blow my top I asked for his last name and employee id # , again he rufsed saying he didnt have to give that information .. I hung up looked online got a number for the US customer service 1-866-652-4611 just in case anyone wants to speak to an American.

I called the us # explained EVERYTHING.  I was put on hold supposedly they checked for the tax return funds and said they never received them Which is a lie. I was given the same crap we cant depoist your money it will be rejected. I asked for his name and id # which he gave it was Joseph id # 32447.

I know they have the funds. They REFUSE to put them on my card. This was their mistake which still can be fixed if its done quickly . Theres no reason for any of it. I filled a complaint with the bbb and havent heard back yet. 

I have had few problems with this card. This is ridiculous.  My money hasnt been rejected as of today so they can put it on the card but flat out refuse.. im not done with them. I will NOT drop this until its resolved.

After days of phone calls. My problem with the deposit of my taxes on my money card, seems to be resolved.. With NO thanks to Walmart, who's customer service has been lying to me since July 3rd. Saying they never recived the funds from the irs.. I called customer service for the money card today ( July 9) to see if the funds were rejected yet.. Apparently these people are trained to lie. They said not only were the funds not rejected, they were never received. . Again I called the Irs, was connected to a very polite very helpful agent.. I told her what was going on, and my fear was Walmart was going to keep my return and never say they recived it. She gave me the phone # of the bank Walmart uses..Which is Bank Corp.. 1-866-271-1623.. Just in case anyone has this problem. I called Bank Corp. And low and behold my tax refund was received on July 2nd the day the Irs released it... Ha go figure that one out.. The money was sent to Walmart money card , as promised they rejected it.. Wonder why customer service couldn't just say so, hmmm cause they are trained to LIE!!!! 

My heart sank , my first thought was now I have to wait for the Irs to mail a check.. Well Bank Corp. Couldn't figure out why Walmart rejected the funds, according to them they had Absolutely NO reason to.. So Bank Corp. Mailed me a check for my tax return today. . I'm very thankful,  and remain unsure if im being lied to again.. I dont think so , I'll know for sure in a few days.. Meanwhile the Irs has put a trace on my return, just to be on the safe side.. No matter what happens after the run around and the lies from Walmart employees , I will eventually get the money.

I cut my Walmart money card up .. Ive been a customer for years with few problems  after this no more.. I was even employed at one time by Walmart. . I will NEVER use their card again and I will NEVER shop at Walmart again. I prefer Target from now on.. This is NO way to treat a customer. .
