I went into this wal-mart, purchased 3 OF THE "WAL-MART PREPAID Visa cards." They never said that we were only allowed 2 cards under any 1 persons name. 2-$100., & 1-$300. I paid CASH for these cards at the Walmart 765 on Nacogdoches rd. I activated and used 1-$100. card, then when needed I activated and used the $300. card. Then when I needed it, I TRIED to activate the last $100. card, online like I was told,

the auto activations system sent me a page stating ONLY 2 cards allowed under a persons name, due to this we will be sending you a refund check for the $103., $3.00 purchase fee, you will receive it at the address listed for the card, in approx, 10 business days. Not happy, but no choice. Received the check, went to the same WAL-MART SUPERCENTER ON NACOGDOCHES TO CASH IT. The Customer service rep says, "I am sorry we don't cash those checks here, called Asst. Mgr. Santiago, he says "I don't know about those, here is BILL-THE MANAGER.

He tells me shrugs his shoulders, tells me "I don't know what you are going to do, we don't cash them, NO ONE DOES THAT WE KNOW OF, SORRY MY HANDS ARE TIED." You mean to tell me I paid YOU $103. in cash to your store for a card that says WALMART PRE PAID VISA. THE WEBSITE FOR IT IS "Walmartmoneycard.com". He says that does not mean it is associated with WAL-MART. I cannot get the refund no matter where I call, they don't seem to care or get the messege. I have called, emailed, gone to the store.
HELP.... ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CASH A CHECK FROM THE GREEN DOT CORP?

Like most checks, take it to a bank to cash it.

Wal-mart is correct, the cards are not theirs, they have the name on there for advertising purposes but the green dot company is not wal-mart. This is the same scenario with money orders, most companies that sell money orders will not cash the money orders they sell.

Just take it to your bank and have your bank cash it. If you don't have a bank account, then you are either going to have to deposit it in a friend's account and have them give you the money or take it to an overpriced check cashing place.

What bank is the check drawn on? usually you can take it to a branch of that bank and get it cashed. Remember, wal-mart is a retail store, not a bank, the check cashing they do is a convenience and should not replace normal banks.
