We purchased two of the Samsung Slider phones by Straight Talk on December 5, 2009. 3 months later, the "pins" began coming out of one of the slider phones. First one side, then the other. Told my daughter to put the phone up and do not use. Contacted Straigh Talk. Customer Service rep said the phones had a 1 year replacement warranty. We were very impressed! The phone service itself has been great and we have had no complaints whatsoever. Rep needed serial number. Had to call back. Told daughter to go get phone, when she picked it up, it broke into two pieces. Called Straight Talk back a couple of days later and now they are saying the phone has no warranty. They won't help us at all, because it's broken now. It was not broken from excessive wear and tear or abuse. Just broken due to bad manufacturing. The phone was around $100 and we had just gotten new service for the month $45. Husband is going to deal with Wal-Mart to see if they will do anything about this. We have only had these phones 3 months! Worthless Crap!

It was the full keyboard slider phone, not the cheap one!! If you are
going to be smart about it, you should ask questions first!! I am almost 40 years old...I DON'T NEED TO EXAGERATE ABOUT THE PRICE!!! I left all that crap behind many years ago in high school. Oh, gee! Look what I found online at WALMART.COM....wow! Didn't know they had one for AROUND $100
Model#: NTSAS451CPWP |
The phone WAS $100...at the time of purchase it WAS the most expensive one available. Now there is the touch phone.
Geez!!! I wasn't arguing price Wal-Mart employee!

Anyone who decides to exaggerate on the price could obviously be exaggerating on the "I didn't do it" part too.
Somehow in 6 years of selling phones made by the exact same company that makes the straight talk phones, I've never seen one just, "break in half" all by itself.
What i have seen are phones/ipods/games that have been run over, smashed, dropped, fallen out of cars, off tables, dunked in lakes, toilets....
Since all the straight talk phones are just older models of normal contract phones, they're not just cheap crap.
