Webhostingboy.com is run by Adeel Shaikh, who is virtually impossible to contact when you have a real problem.

While searching around for a cheap but reliable webhost, we had stumbled upon Webhostingboy. The website is nice, the offer seemed "Too good to be true" so of course it was. Webhostingboy .com offers NO telephone support, email support is slow at best.

As far as we can now figure this whole company is run by 1 guy who does NOT speak english as a native language. We will now detail all of our issues with Webhostingboy in the hopes nobody else loses money on this webhost! STEER CLEAR PEOPLE!

- Guarantee's 99.99% uptime - Promise broken within the first week, we experienced more than 24 hours of downtime.

- 100% Moneyback Guarantee - Not denied, just flat out ignored. Multiple requests for refund within the first 2 weeks and all emails/support tickets went unanswered.

- Attempted Paypal automatic refund. - Webhosting boy thought he would be clever, and although he ignored our direct complaints and requests, he responded to paypal saying the issues were resolved and we were not owed a refund. Then tried to get US to cancel the complaint, even though none of the issues were resolved and we were going to another provider.

- Multiple failures of the MySQL database. If you are a webmaster you know how integral MySQL is, even though our site was up, as its a PHP site, when the MySQL server dies the site is unviewable. Webhosting boys solutions "We are now monitoring the MySQL server to make sure it doesn't happen again."

Our Results? It happened 4 more times the next week causing outages well over 24 hours.

- Does not offer telephone support. Because he is just one guy, and a reseller of hosting space.

- If you have a real problem, he will NOT respond to Support tickets or emails. If your problem does not involve him or the service he would be glad to answer any of your questions.


Conclusions : This was flat out the worst webhosting experience we have ever had and we still have not received a refund. I URGE EVERYONE to shop around, there are other providers of hosting. Make sure they have an 800 number, that they are run by more than 1 individual, and that others have not had similar problems. During our search (after the fact), we came across COUNTLESS reports on forums of webhostingboy cheating others the same way we had been.
