On November 28th 2007 WeHaulMoving.com Contracted Roadway Carriers to pick up my furniture from my vacation home in California.

The account was paid in full 5 feet of space reserved as per the original invoice.

The original driver set up a sealed divider and measured my space, which came to 5 feet. The following day, i received an invoice from WeHaulMoving indicating I used an additional 1 foot from my contracted 4 feet, where on our invoice was indicated 5 feet of room reserved.

Their contract states that any additional charges will be billed to the credit card they have on file, although state law dictates they require additional authorization to process any amount above the original contract amount.

When the furniture reached my home in Canada the divider was measured at 10 feet. which they billed me for without authorization and regardless of the fact that Roadway measured the contents at 5 feet.

They threatened to take possession of our property for the extra 5 feet of space used (when there really was only 5 feet used in the first place) they would not release our property unless payment was made - in Canadian legal terms this Scam technique is called BAIT and SWITCH.

Under Canadian contact law we were able to cancel the contract, and demand a refund.

However, WeHaul Moving ended up Ripping us off by putting the credit card into overdraft, charging the extra 5 feet.

When the items were delivered the driver of the Roadway vehicle was quite professional and very good at his job. He indicated that the sealed divider was broken, (which Customs Canada had broken for access to check our goods) but also indicated that the divider was placed 5 feet from our load.

Every piece of furniture we owned was ruined by being 5 feet from the divider, WeHaul Moving in response to the facts and proof of the additional 5 feet being their fault, and also after they agreed that the 5 feet was their fault they have denied refunding any money and have basically SCAMED us out of 5600.00 US

Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THIS IS NOT A MOVIG COMPANY THEY ARE A THIRD PARTY SALES ORGANIZATION. THEY DO NOT MOVE YOUR STUFF YOURSELF

PLEASE USE REIMERS - or Roadway, they charge only by the pound and stick to their word.

Although, you wont have to worry about this company for long. They don't realize who they've just pissed off. Don't plan on them being around for too long.

cross country scam

this company also did a cross-country trip from san diego to virginia for me. of course, they used some cheap third-party mover who was not gentle with my furniture. They claimed that i violated the allotted space in my contract, which i obviously did not as shown in the initial measurement. During travel the divider was clearly moved. you could see the marks of where it originally was still on the wall of the truck. steer clear of these movers and find someone who wont scam you for an easy buck.

We agreed to coordinate Mr. Marrion's relocation from Mission Viejo California to Niagara Falls Ontario with pickup to be performed on the estimated dates 11/29/07 and delivery to be executed on the estimated dates of 12/4/07 to 12/14/07.

Our company does not believe in misleading or misinforming our customers. Mr. Scott was given a discounted estimate based on the items he informed us he wanted to move and we located a carrier to service the move. We never told Mr. Scott that we were going to move his goods. We explained to Mr. Scott based on the information he provided to us; his move will be booked as a self service move and he reserved 4 linear feet. We also explained to Mr. Scott he would only pay for the amount of linear feet he was booked at; but if he goes over 4 linear feet then he has to pay for each linear feet used and if he used less linear feet then he would pay for less. To make sure that Mr. Scott understood everything we had discussed with him; we sent him paperwork that showed he was paying for a self service move, he would only use 4 linear feet of space and if he used more space he agreed to pay the additional cost for the extra space he used. Also to guarantee that he did not go over the space he signed for we provided him with step by step instructions on how to measure the amount of space he had available while having his things loaded. All the documents that we sent to Mr. Scott explained everything from what our services entailed, a breakdown of the charges, any additional fees if any that would be charged as well as how to measure the amount of space to use. Mr. Scott has stated we used the Bait and Switch technique when soliciting his business. Our company did not conceal anything from Mr. Scott. Everything we discussed with him was also provided to him in writing.

In regards to the additional linear feet used, the terminal informed us after re-measuring Mr. Scott's shipment twice; it showed that he used 10 linear feet instead of the 4 linear feet he was booked at. When we informed Mr. Scott of the additional space used and the cost for the extra space; he told us that he received paperwork that said he only used 5 linear feet instead of 10. At which time we explained to him that he could meet the drivers at the port and watch them re-measure his goods and based on the amount of space it shows at that time that is what he would be charged for. After going back forth between the terminal, the drivers and the port; it was determined that Mr. Scott used an additional linear foot. Because of the confusion with the paperwork and the transport; we did not charge Mr. Scott the remaining balance.

Unfortunately Mr. Scott's goods could not be released to him until the additional space and charges were cleared up. If his goods were released to him without trying to resolve the issue he would have been charged for the additional space used; which he ended up getting for free.

Mr. Scott was provided with the services he hired us for.
