Wells Fargo is violating the spirit of the law passed to help homeowners stay in their homes during this economic time. They have set up a whole section of their website dedicated to explaining about the stability act and what Wells Fargo may be able to do for you...blah, blah, blah. The problem is....I've applied 2 times through the website, using the form provided on the site, but whenever I call them, there is no record of me ever applying for help!

They took my tax money to help make themselves stable, but they keep conviently loosing all my information where I'm asking them for help! It's a law! They have to deal with us. Pretty hard to deal with someone when the "submit" button on the form sends your information to the great "recycle bin" in the Wells Fargo system. I first contacted them in Sept 2008.

Since then, the law was passed and I've applied multiple times. They have no record of me ever applying. Customer service people just keep telling me to re-apply has they have no information and no records of me providing the required information. They took YOUR tax money too! And they aren't doing what the law says they are supposed to do....work with homeowners to keep them in their homes!

Do you qualify? Do you have a fannie mae or freddie mac loan? these programs were designed for them.

Have you spoken with a mortgage counselor to see if you qualify for the program?

You cannot just enroll in one of these programs without having the right type of loan.

You also need to be in danger of foreclosure, Are you in danger of foreclosure? You don't say in your post. If you are making you payments now and you just want them to refinance you, that's not what this program is for. Its to keep people out of bankruptcy that are about to file.
