Werner Enterprizes ripoff and screw the driver, emotionally, physically and financially Omaha Nebraska

I too, like many before me, fell prey to the guise of werner enterprises, for a better and more secure future, and hopefully many other new drivers will recieve the word that werner is not the place to go to work.

Three years ago i became a company driver for this mickey-mouse outfit, with the lies of running the west region, as i live in the rocky mountain northwest. Pure lies!!!

I too was told i'd be added to the "LIST" only to find out they do not hire out of my area for the west. Now this is real werner odd because i live 700 miles from the pacific ocean, but was always forced to go back to the east coast to work.

Then with a positive outlook towards this company, and again more lies, I decided to take advantage of their truck purchase program. BAD MISTAKE!!!

After a short while as an owner/operater my miles began dropping off and it was force-suggested that as a trainer i would make 40 to 70% more pay, so i decided to give it a go. Again at first the miles were ok but then started to drop off, as the quality of the students did also. I was told the average milage would be around 4500 to 5000 miles per week.

The last student i trained for them , my mileage had dropped to 3000 mile for seven days of training. Now a good to fair driver can do that many miles by themselves. So what werner wants the owner/operaters to do is to train their new drivers at the o/o's expense and wear and tear on their equipment for little or no extra compensation.

Now as for the quality of the students that werner employs is highly questionable. I think drunks and druggies and mental cases are the standard for their new hire students just so they can fill the seats of all their trucks just to get the free government monies that keep werner going. I am sure there are a few good unsuspecting drivers that come to work here but i have never had many, just the above formentioned.

Now how can this company keep ripping of miles from the drivers, company and o/o's by claiming they pay by household movers guide? Ever trip i haul for them is anywhere from 5-10% off on the miles. Yet i am expected to be on time with these time-miles descrepancies and eat the extra expense of operating my truck the extra miles for nothing just to keep working?

They also claim good home time, Lifestyle, rite!!! What a joke. In all the time i have worked here i can count on one hand, the times i have been home on time, and still have fingers left.

They could care less what you own personal matters are or what your scheduals are for them. the only thing they are interesed is the load you are moving for them. Lifestyle, if getting screwed by WERNER is your idea of a great life style, please get some professional counseling. Because they WILL screw YOU!!!

Well enough for this session.

But in closing, If you work for this company, QUIT!!!
If you know someone who wants to come to work for this company, do what ever it take to discourage them from doing so. And as in advertising, they say, word of mouth is the best advertising, so spread the word.

WERNER ENTERPRISES IS A VERY BAD CHOICE OF A PLACE TO WORK!!!
