Westmont Real Estate Incorporated Catherine Porter S. Owner utilizes high pressure sales tactics and flat out lies to steal from tenants. NEVER TRUST Greensburg Pennsylvania

Catherine Porter, owner of Wesmont Real Estate Incorporated, is a liar and a thief. Please do not do business with her, under any circumstance.

While seeking a place of residence in Greensburg I viewed an apartment with her that I expressed interest in leasing with another individual (who was not able to be present at the time). Catherine told me the home had been seen by several people that day already and was set to go. Being a trusting individual I took this at face value and assumed I would not be living there. She told me though that she could process my application, insisting that I pay her in cash on the spot for that ($100), and if I wrote her a check out for the deposit amount she would hold the check and not process it until I could sign for the lease with the other individual that was to be my roommate. She offered this incase someone else wanted to sign for the unit she would be able to show a previously dated check had already been written. This occurred on a Thursday. By the following Monday my bank showed the check had in fact been cashed that Friday. This was completely opposite to what she had claimed her intentions were. That Monday I informed her that the individual I was to live with was not able to sign a lease. When I requested the return of the deposit, as she was not to cash it until I signed a lease, she informed me that the application I had filled out stated I forfeited any deposit should I not sign a lease with them. She purposefully hurried me along and pressured me to write her a check in order to trap me into paying her over $650 for roughly 2 hours of her time. I have never in my entire life encountered a more selfish and deceptive realtor. Please, whatever you do, do not lease, sell, rent, or do any form of business with Ms. Porter's company. They truly are con artists. Never, ever assume something good will come from working with them.

I hope that my story helps someone avoid her and her terrible services. Not even two weeks later I found a much better apartment complex to stay in, that offered a lower rate, higher standard of living, and they were much much, much, more professional, not even cashing my check for an application until after I had signed my lease. I reccomend renting with LRG Rentals in Greensburg if you are seeking residence in that area. I do not reccomend using Westmont Real Estate for anything.
